The WSLCB is announcing an important opportunity as a Program Specialist 2 in the Licensing and Regulation Division. This position supports the Program Manager of the Mandatory Alcohol Service Training (MAST) and Responsible Vendor Program (RVP) in the issuance of the MAST permits and the RVP certification. As the Program Specialist 2, you will provide information and technical assistance to staff, program participants, stakeholders, permittees and general public regarding MAST and RVP requirements, pertinent laws, rules, policies, and activities.

Duties

As a program representative, support the daily operations of the programs by assisting program participants including staff, licensees, providers, trainers, permit holders and general public:
<ul>
<li>Respond to questions and inquiries based on the pertinent laws, regulations and procedures; provides technical assistance regarding program contents, procedures and activities and resolves problems and issues within a delegated area of authority.
</li>
<li>Upload and receives permit forms accurately; Keeps permit records accurately; Replaces permits and fills in permit orders; Process RVP applications and collects and prepare permit statistics by monitoring program activities.
</li>
<li>Assist program reviews and trainer certifications as needed.
</li>
<li>Process Division of Child Support MAST permit suspension orders.</li>
</ul>

Assist with various education and outreach efforts in making connections with customers, stakeholders, internal and external LCB staff using and creating the various communication and education channels:<ul>
<li>Draft notes, instructions and announcements to inform the regulated industry of legislative changes; changes in rules and procedures; educational materials. Communication tools may include letter to licensees, periodic newsletters, educational materials and web contents.

<li>Organize, plan, and arrange meetings, workshops and/or conferences for the stakeholders including licensees, retailer associations, MAST providers and trainers and makes public presentations on program related topics.

<li>Creates, revises and updates educational materials including utilizing online technology.</li>

Help to ensure providers' and trainers' comply within the laws, rules and procedures by conducting course audits or monitoring online course websites:<ul><li>Conduct organized class audits or monitor online course websites under the general guidance of the supervisor; evaluate providers' and trainers' conducts, actions and provide feedback and recommendations, take corrective actions if necessary; provide technical assistance to help them comply with the laws, rules and procedures.</li></ul>

Qualifications

Required:

<li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent education AND four (4) years of experience providing customer assistance with inquiries, processes, complaints, and problems. (Experience will substitute on a year for year basis for the education requirement)

 Equipment Operation : Operates computers, moisture equipment, food processors, sample dividers, floor jacks, hard &amp; soft shell crackers and testing scales.
 Retest Evaluation : Retrieve and re-evaluate grower samples from the retention library.
 Special Testing : Support data collection studies requested by management.
 New Variety Evaluation : Perform tests on newly developed varieties to determine quality and family grouping. This testing supports Growers, Membership, the Almond Board and nurseries.
 Sample Collection : Work with Receiving and Membership to ensure samples are collected according to documented procedures.
 Problem Samples : Alert appropriate personnel if inconsistencies with a delivery sample or test is detected.
 Quality Objective : Maintain and support Blue Diamond’s quality objectives and goals.
 Other Duties : May be required to perform other duties, including training of employees, and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor or Lead.
 Required Minimum Qualifications: 
Pass an almond variety and reject identification test by the end of the second season in the Testroom.
 Ability to perform a variety of quality tests to determine product grade. Requires intense visual concentration and strong attention to detail.
 Ability to follow detailed instructions.
 Requires good math skills.
 Basic data entry and computer skills required. .
 Must have ability to prioritize effectively and perform multiple tasks within a fast paced production environment.
 Must understand Blue Diamond worker instructions, HACCP processes, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and safety practices.
 Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
 Able to follow written or oral instructions.
 Able to work under limited supervision. Receives guidelines from supervisor but is expected to determine appropriate action when handling all but the most unusual tasks.
 Must regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment; Errors may have a significant impact on the company.
 Able to operate basic analytical instruments.
 Position may be seasonal in nature.
 Overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays, based on production requirements.
 Additional Preferred Qualifications: 
2 – 3 years related experience performing grade analysis, sampling, or lab/inspection related work preferred.
 Similar food processing experience preferred.
 Experience with common inspection tools (i.e. sieves, scales etc.) preferred. Calibrate and maintain inspection scales.
 Educational Requirements: 
High School Diploma or GED.

Grower Quality Inspector 1

This person will be responsible for producing, organizing, and developing brand marketing and also managing task and duties.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience in this area. Please send a resume of what kind of brand management / development you have done.
MUST BE 21+ OVER and Be able to get a MARIJUANA BADGE. This is brand management for a cannabis brand sold in numerous dispensaries across Denver.
