SUMMARY: 
Our Human Resources Generalist will carry out responsibilities in various aspects of human resources including: payroll, recruitment, on-boarding, benefits, leaves of absence, employee relations, compliance, safety, terminations, talent management &amp; HR reporting. They will be an extension of the HR team in Las Vegas and an ambassador for our California employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
<ul>
<li>Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing and time / attendance management.</li>
<li>Maintain accuracy of payroll/system data in HRIS.</li>
<li>Manage the recruiting process from requisition to on-boarding.</li>
<li>Host employee orientations and complete all new hire paperwork.</li>
<li>Manage all FMLA/CFRA leaves of absence (LOA’s); Administer state LOA’s (CFRA, PFL, SDI etc.)</li>
<li>Respond to Unemployment Insurance audits and claims.</li>
<li>Educate and enforce policies and procedures among all staff.</li>
<li>Responsible for internal and any compulsory reporting.</li>
<li>Benefits administration, including open enrollment and new hire benefit eligibility process.</li>
<li>Handle escalated benefit related employee issues.</li>
<li>Ensure parameters of the existing reward and recognition programs are met.</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS::
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.</li>

<li>3 - 10 years of broad HR Generalist experience.</li>

Position Summary:

<li>Company advocate for best practices, provide support, counsel, and direction to maintain effective involvement in employee relations activities, including supporting investigations, counseling sessions and terminations</li>
<li>Search for process improvement opportunities for the HR function, offer to Director of HR recommendations for improvement or issue resolution</li>
</ul>
Payroll Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Own bi-weekly payroll processing/administration, leaves of absence, etc.</li>
<li>Initiate payroll paperwork, process change requests, and terminations</li>
<li>Guide employees on issues related to payroll, leave, tax status, etc.</li>
</ul>
Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree and/or evidence of exceptional ability</li>
<li>3+ years of generalist/payroll specialist experience</li>
<li>Knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws, statutes, etc. that govern employment laws and practices</li>
<li>Significant knowledge of HR/personnel practices and principles, knowledge of applicable labor, pay, benefits, and health &amp; safety laws</li>
<li>Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and common sense regarding sensitive employee information</li>
<li>Self-motivated and self-directed, but knows when to ask questions or seek advice/opinion</li>
<li>Team player with “jump in and help” “can-do” mentality</li>
<li>Ability to build trust, maximize relationships, and interact with all levels of staff, from hourly employees to executive team</li>
