Job Description:

The Green Planet is searching for results and process-oriented General Manager (“GM”) capable of leading the organization to the next level of success. Green Planet is one of the premier providers of cannabis and prides itself in providing high quality, natural products grown and made in Oregon.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of management experience in a growing retail, services or manufacturing facility. Experience with start-ups, early stage or rapid growth businesses is considered a plus. So is experience with highly regulated industries.

The GM will oversee day-to-day operations of the facility including management of the staff. To be successful the GM will need to exhibit strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and morale with the team as well as trust and confidence with patients. At the same time, the GM must be competent with business planning, monitoring, and making data-driven decisions. A mindset of continuous improvement is imperative.Cannabis experience is desirable but not a requisite.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

-Overall day-to-day operations of Green Planet. Ensures all employees perform all work safely and with the highest quality

-Maintain knowledge of the Oregon Marijuana Regulatory changes and adjust the overall operations of Green Planet as needed

-Ensure Patient Services department personnel provide hospitable service and information; and are courteous, friendly, efficient and generate patient loyalty

-Responsible for ensuring company-wide adherence to all company and Vermont Department of Public Safety policies and procedures through ongoing training of personnel. Ensure proper licensure of all employees

-Work with the Patient Services team to respond to outside inquiries and complaints to maintain and improve the overall image of Green Planet in the community

-Understand big picture timeline - how Cultivation, Production, and Dispensary (Patient Services/Delivery) work together and impact each other

-Assures EEO compliance through equity, consistency, and fairness; prevents workplace harassment; communicates openly and honestly to employees at all times

-New system implementation oversight, and ensuring the right employees are trained on right systems

-Manage vendors and vendor contracts with each Department Director

-Work with the Controller to set and review budgets and manage costs

-Oversee ordering process and inventory management-Approval on all orders/purchases, access, security codes, hiring, and overtime hours

-Oversee security system, including internal workings and assigning and controlling access

-Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of seed-to-sale tracking

-Manage weekly meetings with all department leads

-In conjunction with HR department, responsible for onsite employee relations, including interviewing, onboarding, making recommendations for pay/salary decisions and firing/discipline

-Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all cannabis state laws and regulations

-Lead real estate functions such as lease renewals and coordinating facility maintenance as needed

-Create and lead a dedicated emergency response team with department Directors

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in Business or Management.

-Results oriented-3 or more years of management experience

-Must pass the state-mandated background check

-Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information

-Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written) with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and ally

-Demonstrated organization, planning and attention to Detail Skills

-Proficiency in MS Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint-Demonstrated success leading, developing and coaching employees

-Cannabis experience a plus
