PharmLabs Coachella location is the only operating and accredited cannabis laboratory in the entire Coachella Valley. The City of Coachella and the surrounding municipalities in the Coachella Valley are estimated to produce the majority of cannabis and cannabis-derived products for the State of California. The incumbent will play a key role ensuring safe products are available to the Nation’s new epicenter of the Green Rush.

Position Summary:
Our ideal candidate is computer savvy, great on the phones and loves interacting with a diverse group of people. Our clients come from a wide variety of industries and cannabis science knowledge, so strong interpersonal skills are a must for this position.
Being well versed in the Emergency Regulations released by the Bureau of Cannabis Control under the MAUCRSA is an important part of this role. As regulations continue to change with state legislature, it will be important to stay up to date and understand how changes can affect our services and day to day operations.
As the face of PharmLabs, our ideal candidate would serve as a brand ambassador; answering phones, responding to email inquiries and greeting walk-in clients. Knowledge about our testing services and cannabis products will be an important part of this role to help support to our clients successfully. An understanding of the basics of chemical and biological analytical chemistry is important to communicate testing results with clients and describing our services.
Candidates must be detail oriented. Part of this role is the intake of client test samples and inputting them into the Laboratory Information Management System as well as ensuring products are correctly labeled for testing by the Laboratory staff.
To maintain the independence of the laboratory, and under current regulations, laboratory staff can not be employed by or have ownership in any other cannabis license type.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for sifting through cured batches; separating, weighing, packaging, sealing, labeling and tracking the product precisely and effectively. They are also responsible for the tracking of each batch, making sure that all product is accounted for, packaged appropriately and noted on all forms appropriately and according to company policy and practices, as well as state, local and MED laws and regulations.
Essential Functions : 
<ul>
<li>Identify retail needs based on store inventory levels and prioritize packaging based their warehouses current cured inventory.</li>
<li>Breakdown cured batches into multiple different weight increments (1.75 g, 3.5 g, 7 g, etc…) and package them accordingly; adhering to a retail requested 2:1 ratio of 1/8ths to 1/16ths.</li>
<li>Employee must package product without degrading the quality, weighing it on a state certified scale to an exact weight and placing the product in the bag without damaging it.</li>
<li>Properly note all packages and increments on the batches Cure Form for reconciliation.</li>
<li>Employee is responsible for printing labels for each package and adhering them to the bag.</li>
<li>Employee is required to fill the bags with nitrogen, close them and heat-seal them according to company policy and procedure.</li>
<li>Employee should be trained and have a basic knowledge of MJ Freeway as it pertains to the department.</li>

We are looking for an experienced Director of Operations to organize and oversee the daily operations of our company. You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people.
The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many different kinds of operational activities. He/She must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business.
The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.
Responsibilities

<li>Liaise with superior to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals</li>

Requirements
<ul>
<li>Proven experience as Director of Operations or equivalent position</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and leadership abilities</li>
<li>Outstanding communication and people skills</li>
<li>Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines</li>
<li>In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. purchasing, finance, customer service etc.)</li>
<li>Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics</li>
<li>Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)</li>
<li>BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus</li>
<li>Related experience in the Cannabis Industry is a plus</li>

Director of Operations

Cresco Labs is seeking a Quality Management System Director to join our corporate operations team at our Chicago headquarters. As our QMS Director, you will be responsible for implementation, execution, and maintenance of our QMS. As well as regulating, controlling and improving the quality of all processes throughout Cresco. The ideal candidate must possess a strong attention to detail and experience working within a highly regulated industry.
CORE JOB DUTIES: 
<ul>
<li>Oversee creation and maintenance of Quality Management System (QMS) and training infrastructure for a medical cannabis start-up company</li>
<li>Create and/or update QMS-related programs such as CAPA, customer complaint handling, adverse event reporting, Quality Control measures, etc. according to state regulations</li>
<li>Work with Compliance functions to ensure QMS activities comply with state regulations and are adhered to</li>
<li>Develop and manage QMS operational processes and supporting SOPs, training, forms/templates</li>
<li>Responsible for implementation/rollout of new programs as well as changes to existing processes across departments/functions</li>
<li>Responsible for change management and document management, including product design changes.</li>
<li>Manage training/onboarding program and use of Learning Management System</li>
<li>Support audit and internal monitoring, as requested</li>
<li>Review operational metrics and KPIs to evaluate health of QMS programs and identify areas for improvement</li>
<li>Manage QMS personnel</li>
<li>Will interface with all functions within the company: cultivation, laboratory, kitchen, packaging, order fulfillment, compliance, sales, engineering, IT/systems</li>
<li>Assign SOPs/training materials to respective audiences in Learning Management System</li>
<li>Work with subject matter experts to develop training self-assessments/evaluations during new employee on-boarding and for annual refresher training</li>
</ul>
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree preferred, 5-10 years’ experience</li>
<li>Prior experience in highly regulated industry. Highly desirable: healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceutical, cannabis.</li>
<li>Prior experience in compliance, ethics, legal, or quality function. Subject matter expert in multiple quality-related concepts: CAPA, AE reporting, AQLs, QC checks, product stability testing, customer compliant handling, product investigations and withdrawal/recall procedures, change management, document management, etc.</li>
<li>Ability to design and implement new processes, including operational workflow, writings new SOPs, designing forms/templates to support process.</li>
<li>Experience with training/onboarding programs and tools/systems</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Detail-oriented</li>
<li>Prior management experience; will have direct reports</li>
<li>Quick learner – grasps essence quickly and uses information learned to apply elsewhere</li>
<li>Deals well with ambiguity and gray areas; strikes a balance between business and compliance needs</li>
<li>Understands the large-scale ideas and can deliver on tactical execution</li>
<li>Minimal travel required</li>
