The University of Colorado’s Center for Health and Addiction: Neuroscience, Genes and Environment (CU Change) has an available Professional Research Assistant and Phlebotomist position.

 We are a motivated team that conducts transdisciplinary research exploring factors linked with health and risk behavior in regard to recreational and medicinal Cannabis use, alcohol consumption, and exercise. We seek a full-time research assistant to aid in the collection and processing of biological samples, data quality control and management, and human subjects screening and research visit coordination. This position is well suited for a recent graduate pursuing a career or planning an advanced degree in psychology, neuroscience, translational human subjects research, or other biomedical research.

 
Expected responsibilities: Assisting with study participant recruitment, screening, and scheduling, leading study visits including informed consent, administering urine and breathalyzer tests, performing blood draw, conducting self-report tasks with study participants, and data management and quality control. Capable of working effectively and respectfully with participants who have diagnosed substance use disorders and a variety of backgrounds, lifestyles, and personalities. Driving the mobile lab (sprinter van) throughout Boulder County for study appointments.
 


Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Supervise and implement the Company Construction Program ensuring that each jobsite utilizes the construction rules, practices and policies</li>
<li>Reviews dailies, timecards and other financial reports for accuracy</li>
<li>Represents company and interfaces with customer, developers, property owners, utilities, and municipalities</li>
<li>Coordinates, leads, and provides assistance to crews, subcontractors and other interested parties</li>
<li>Ensure that construction schedules are met on time</li>

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Needs the ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively; and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all staff. This position requires the ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize and re-prioritize daily workload and work with minimum supervision and the ability to meet deadlines, establish deadlines, and to prioritize deadlines. Must have experience in copper and fiber construction, line and splicing background preferred.
