Assistant Lab Technician

Office Manager

Splicers are responsible for proper preparation and splicing of fiber within a telecommunications system. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network structure; familiarity with fiber cable, splice enclosures and the functionality of each; ability to use OTDR and fusion splicing equipment; ability to read fiber matrices; ability to interpret and analyze data; and, ability to identify and troubleshoot 
problems.

Performs general construction work under direction of Foreman/Supervisor

Basic knowledge of cable locating is helpful

Ability to operate various types of trucks and equipment

Drive and/or operate diesel or gasoline powered equipment to/from/on jobsite

Essential Physical Requirements include:

The Lab Manufacturing-Production Manager will oversee all daily operations of the lab from production to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. They develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.
You will be assisting with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials. Ensure manufacturing performance, volume and quality goals are met by utilizing efficient methods and maintaining appropriate staffing levels. You will manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Extensive knowledge of department processes. You will also maintain our company culture and ensure that human resource issues are reported upon and dealt with in a timely manner. Ensure that the lab and employees adhere to OSHA and other regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:

<li>Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards</li>
<li>Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results</li>
<li>Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus</li>
<li>Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions</li>
<li>Share a trusting relationship with workgroup, manage and develop lab staff</li>
<li>Commit to lab safety procedures</li>
<li>Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets</li>

<li>Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts</li>

Requirements:

<li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team</li>
<li>Have OSHA, Safety and Food Handling Training Certification</li>
