Description
Provide sales, product support and logistical services to clients to assist the organization in achieving its sales objectives and maintaining outstanding customer satisfaction. Work with internal departments to ensure client product and service needs are being met in a timely manner. Become proficient in all aspects of client services from initial product recommendation, product quotation, study enrollment, client order processing, client account management, shipping, receiving, inventory, product support, web services/client data support, and troubleshooting. Ensure the daily tasks and responsibilities of the Quality Customer Service Group are being completed to the highest quality for Phenova’s customers internal and external. The position is responsible for a broad range of activity, requires excellent time management skills, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while meeting company and client expectations. While this includes working with people and groups to complete these items, it also requires doing the tasks personally. These items include but are not limited to:
- Interact with and understand client requirements, provide guidance in selecting products, enroll clients in appropriate proficiency testing studies
- Provide product support and help clients to troubleshoot testing results, answer technical and product related questions
- Based on prospective client requirements, generate and provide sales quotations in an effort to gain new clients and generate revenue
- Maintain client product profiles based on historical purchases and proficiency testing enrollment in order to generate and distribute client quotations on an ongoing basis
- Prepare and submit bid solicitations for government agencies and municipalities
- Create and maintain client pricelists and discount pricing agreements
- Process client orders, generate required paperwork and documentation to be provided with product shipment
- Prepare client orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy of products selected and complete and accurate product paperwork and documentation
- Ensuring on time delivery of orders
- Lead and Manage daily meetings
- Managing inventory and warehouse
- Handling of incoming customer support calls, emails, web requests
- Maintain accurate client notes
- Ensure on time delivery of customer service and reporting
- Custom Standards Sales/Sales Support
- Manage cross training and growth of customer service group
- Fulfill client service related functions for specific international, key accounts, and Phenomenex sister company accounts
- Document, maintain, and continuously improve processes related to customer service / support.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and customer satisfaction
- Other sales/client service/logistical and customer satisfaction related activity as required
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in chemistry/related field or equivalent experience
- Two years of Customer Service and or Sales Support experience
- Excellent computer and data entry skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
- Ability to learn and master new business software applications
- Ability to work as part of a team and in a fast and efficient manner
- Ability to effectively handle multiple responsibilities and projects simultaneously
- Excellent customer service skills including phone and professional email correspondence
- Knowledge of Environmental or Water Quality Testing is a plus
