Job Summary

To perform tasks associated with the construction/upgrade of aerial cable television systems. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment</li>
<li>Throw 1-2 lb. weighted rope over elevated cable lines, and tree branches</li>
<li>Pull lashing equipment down cable lines to secure wires</li>
<li>Use pounding equipment to install grounding rods and anchors into ground</li>
<li>Assist in pulling out cable lines and other equipment used in installing cable TV wires</li>
<li>Operate chain hoist to add tension to cable and guy wires</li>
<li>Read blueprints to interpret daily work assignment</li>
<li>Operate vehicle, following all safety and traffic regulations</li>
<li>Direct traffic flow in accordance with local D.O.T. guidelines</li>
<li>Other responsibilities as directed by Supervision</li>

Job Summary

To perform tasks associated with the aerial and underground electronic upgrade and splicing of coaxial cable for cable television systems in an outside plant environment.

<li>Testing, tuning and balancing equipment in order to troubleshoot a service line.</li>
<li>Repair or splice in new line as needed to complete the testing and certification of the project.</li>
<li>Place and install required coax cable when necessary to complete assignment.</li>
<li>Install all passive and active devices, pedestals, and vaults and coax splice cases required to house CATV equipment per customer requirements.</li>
<li>Train and ensure newer employees are learning and using safe work practices at all times.</li>
<li>Test Coax – RF lines for balanced signal between points – continuity and fault</li>
<li>Troubleshooting and repair of Coax line and line equipment</li>
<li>Read and understand site plans, maps and diagrams needed to support project.</li>

Grower Accountant

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
Support manufacturing and cultivation operations by providing oversight on all scientific processes. Execute R&amp;D plan and support development / refinement of scientific processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Develop, refine and validate analytical methods.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot issues with scientific equipment and processes.</li>
<li>Execute and assist in development of R&amp;D plan.</li>
<li>Collaborate with 3rd party quality assurance labs to ensure analytical method alignment.</li>
<li>Develop novel cannabinoid formulations.</li>
<li>Aid with new product development.</li>
<li>Serve as in-house expert on HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, and related equipment.</li>
<li>Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for analytical and scientific processes.</li>
<li>Maintain analytical equipment, perform regular preventative maintenance and quality checks.</li>
<li>Assist in the set up and maintenance of new laboratories as new facilities come online.</li>
<li>Keep organized record of allprocedures and results.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and safe working environment.</li>
<li>Keep a detailed laboratory log, dating and recording all tasks performed and relevant results.</li>
<li>Perform weekly safety-checks of fire-extinguishing equipment, eyewash stations and shower stations. Attends safety meetings as required.</li>

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

QUALIFICATIONS
PhD in analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacology or a related discipline. Fastidious attention to detail is required. Superior writing ability is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication may be required. Sitting or standing for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office and laboratory equipment. Must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting scientific and packaging equipment.
Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of problems.
WORK ENVIRONEMENT
The job is performed indoors in a traditional laboratory setting. Exposure to chemicals and laboratory agents is expected. Protective safety clothing, goggles, gloves, facemasks, or hat are required as needed. Activities include extended periods of sitting or standing and extensive work using laboratory and packaging equipment and machinery.

Summary

The Technical Writer is primarily responsible for supporting the organization’s innovative vision by creating, editing, and designing documentation, company policies and procedures, guides, handbooks, and other documents to support the efficient and compliant operations of TGS Management and its subsidiaries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Coordinate with supervisor, staff, and stakeholders in small group settings to execute company mission statement and to establish and implement the Executive Officers’ vision through written documentation, digital communications tools, and oversee all corporate communications policies</li>

Construction Laborer

Overview: 
The CSC Grower Education team has been tasked with identifying and meeting grower needs through educational programs for the industry as part of the CSC strategic plan. The Specialist will take a leading role in the development and delivery of educational programs that raise growers’ capacity to function in the highly regulated areas of California where strawberries are grown. The Grower Education Specialist will also work with members of the CSC grower education team to refine and deliver CSC’s current, highly attended education programs for growers and their employees in the areas of regulatory compliance, food safety, leadership development and irrigation management. The Grower Education Specialist will report to the Director of Grower Education and work closely with CSC members across departments.
 Duties / Responsibilities: Training: 
Facilitate interactive trainings modules in English and Spanish to industry members in topics such as food safety, supervisor development, production practices and regulatory compliance relevant to strawberry growers, their employees and other industry stakeholders.
 
Develop new education programs in technical areas that improve strawberry production practices for growers and their employees.
 
Develop didactic materials, resources and guidelines for growers and field level employees.
 Outreach: 
Survey and maintain professional interactions with district growers and industry stakeholders.
 
Assess growers’ emerging needs and identify resources to address those expressed needs.
 
Assist with coordination of meetings on priority topics often on an ad-hoc basis.
 
Connect CSC staff to growers and industry members to promote cross-departmental initiatives.
 
Work with CSC staff to monitor relevant issues that affect growers, in particular issues around production practices, regulatory affairs and labor management.
 Qualifications: Required: 
3+ years of demonstrated ability to facilitate classes, trainings or other relevant experience related to educating adult learners.
 
Professional fluency in oral and written Spanish and English.
 
Competency with basic Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
 
Live within or be willing to relocate to the Watsonville strawberry production area.
 
Overnight travel within California 1-2 nights per week during the peak training season.
 
Ability to lift equipment to set up of meeting rooms and transport training materials across the state.
 
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
 Desired: 
Education and/or experience in an agricultural related field.
 
Strong commitment of customer service towards growers.
 
Experience developing and delivering bilingual, agricultural education programs in agriculture.
 
Technical knowledge of agricultural production, agribusiness, human resources, labor management, labor policy, regulatory affairs or farm-level management are highly desirable.

Grower Outreach & Extension Specialist

Description: 
Under the supervision of Dr. Haney, the candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations of studies in the Substance Use Research Center at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. The start date for this position will be in July 2018, and we are looking for candidates who can commit to at least 2 years with our team.
 Duties and Responsibilities: 
The candidate will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day lab procedures and ensuring the smooth operation of the Cannabis Research Laboratory. Responsibilities include telephone screening for inpatient and outpatient laboratory research studies, carrying out study procedures, collecting data, and submitting and maintaining IRB protocols. The candidate will also be responsible for scheduling physical and psychological interviews, scheduling hourly staff, managing and training volunteers, and conducting laboratory physiological measures (blood pressure, electrocardiograms, blood draws, urine sample collection and drug testing).
 
Duties also include maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of research sessions, data entry and organization, managing petty cash payments, and ordering laboratory supplies.
 Minimum Qualifications: 
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a social or biological science. Organizational skills, attention to detail, good judgment and the ability to work without continuous supervision are critical components of this position. Need to be willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are essential. Must agree to be certified in phlebotomy.
 Preferred Qualifications: 
Experience in behavioral science laboratory and/or human participants research preferred. Those with experience with IRB submissions and database management will be given preference.
