The Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking highly motivated and talented individuals for the positions of Correctional Officer 1 at the Clallam Bay Corrections Center (CBCC) in Clallam Bay, WA., and the Olympic Corrections Center (OCC) in Forks, WA. Both CBCC and OCC are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 
The Clallam Bay Corrections Center (CBCC) is a 900 bed male facility located on the point of the Olympic Peninsula. It is 50 miles west of Port Angeles and looks out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca at Vancouver Island. This facility houses medium and close custody offenders. CBCC also operates an Intensive Management Unit. 
Olympic Corrections Center (OCC) is a 381 bed male facility located near the Hoh Rainforest. This facility houses minimum security offenders and offers treatment, work, and vocational programs to help ready offenders to transition back into the community. OCC also has outside work crews to serve the community as well as fire crews that work alongside Department of Natural Resource employees.

Our current on-call staff have the opportunity to work an average of 32-40 hours per week, although the positions have no minimum hour guarantee. Incumbents will be required to attend 6 weeks of full time paid training immediately upon hire and will be considered for full time permanent and/or temporary vacancies as they occur. All correctional officers, including those in on-call positions, are provided with a benefits package including medical, dental, vision and retirement as well as paid sick leave, holiday pay and paid vacation; provided they work at least 20 hours or more each week.

Duties
This job class is designated as in-training. The employee will advance to CO2 after satisfactory completion of the CO1 training requirements. 
In an adult correctional facility, Correctional Officers provide safety and security, and assist in controlling, directing, and monitoring the activities and movement of incarcerated individuals. This includes maintaining security of the institution and controlling movement into, out of and within the institution in accordance with established department methods and procedures. 
Correctional Officers are expected to be a positive role model and work with the incarcerated individuals to help them become productive members of society from the day they arrive under supervision. Correctional Officers use interpersonal skills and good communication skills to correct and counteract criminal thinking while maintaining safe confinement environments for the individuals to pursue a successful re-entry into communities. The successful candidates for Correctional Officer 1 will possess creative thinking, self-confidence, strong role-modeling and good physical and mental conditioning. 
Overtime is an essential function of this position. 
Correctional Officers must successfully complete Correctional Worker Core (CWC), a six-week academy for all correctional workers employed in DOC prison facilities. We know that managing difficult people takes more than force. It takes observation, knowledge, skills and continual practice. The AP Specialist plays an important part in maintaining positive relationships with external vendors and internal partners.
 Major Areas of Responsibility: 
Reviews and verifies invoices and check requests
 
Sorts, codes and matches invoices
 
Sets up invoices for payment
 
Tracks expenses and processes internal expense reports
 
Prepares electronic transfers and payments
 
Prepares and performs payments by both cash and check
 
Posts transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
 
Reconciles accounts payable transactions
 
Reconciles vendor statements
 
Monitors accounts to ensure payments are up to date
 
Researches and resolves invoice discrepancies and issues
 
Maintains vendor files
 
Correspond with vendors and responds to inquiries in a timely manner
 
Produces weekly reports
 
Assists with month end closing
 
Provides supporting documentation for audits
 
Other duties as required
 Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
Broad knowledge and experience in general accounting procedures, specifically accounts payable
 
Proficient in data entry and management
 
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on strong Excel skills
 
General knowledge of Quickbooks preferred
 
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment where priorities often change quickly
 
Must be comfortable physically counting and handling large quantities of cash
 Education and Experience: 
Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field preferred
 
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting

JOB PURPOSE
The Sales Operations Team Member will be responsible for supporting both the office and field sides due to the large amount of overlap in responsibility. On both sides of this role, the Sales Operations Team Member will need to be aware that they must possess the ability to work well on a team as well as be self-motivated and accomplish tasks accurately and quickly in an independent manner. These individuals must be able to multi-task, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to change priorities and tasks as needed. We have a very fast- paced environment as we continue to grow and expand. Must be motivated, trustworthy, and a team player.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
**This position is hourly, with the pay rate depending on experience. It is not a management or commission sales position**

<li>Fulfilling orders with state-monitored inventory tracking system and moving product through it to comply with all state and OLCC laws</li>
<li>Communicating effectively with the team to ensure all orders are processed and delivered in a timely manner</li>
<li>Report customer service issues and work to resolve them with clients</li>
<li>Organize in-house inventory and prepare orders by lifting heavy material</li>
<li>Driving all over Oregon and representing Cura in a professional manner as well as take responsibility for the inventory in the car.</li>
<li>Interact with clients and vendors in a friendly manner to accomplish sales.</li>
<li>Record data related to deliveries, inventory, sales, and customer interactions</li>

QUALIFICATIONS:
