Job Summary

To perform tasks associated with the construction/upgrade of aerial cable television systems. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment</li>
<li>Throw 1-2 lb. weighted rope over elevated cable lines, and tree branches</li>
<li>Pull lashing equipment down cable lines to secure wires</li>
<li>Use pounding equipment to install grounding rods and anchors into ground</li>
<li>Assist in pulling out cable lines and other equipment used in installing cable TV wires</li>
<li>Operate chain hoist to add tension to cable and guy wires</li>
<li>Read blueprints to interpret daily work assignment</li>
<li>Operate vehicle, following all safety and traffic regulations</li>
<li>Direct traffic flow in accordance with local D.O.T. guidelines</li>
<li>Other responsibilities as directed by Supervision</li>

The CATV Construction Coordinator is responsible for coordinating/monitoring the activities of construction 
crews and/or subcontractors to ensure new construction, repair, and system maintenance activities are completed in accordance with established standards. Specific duties include:
<ul>
<li>Ensure execution of overhead/underground CATV construction duties such as: placing hard-line cables, frame and strand poles, transfer facilities between poles, place cable in joint trench, and safe operation of construction vehicles and cable trailers.</li>
<li>Investigates and monitors accurate record keeping with regards to project start, milestone dates, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures.</li>
<li>Reviews daily work sheets from the field and updates tracking reports.</li>
<li>Ensures that resources (i.e. vehicles, equipment, and inventory) are maintained in proper working order.</li>
<li>Supports crews and leadership team with coordination of projects.</li>
<li>Reviews, resolves, follows-up with customer request and complaints.</li>
<li>QC’s and documents completed work</li>
<li>Prepares as-built documentation packages</li>
<li>Assists and updates Project Manager and Field Supervisor as needed</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
<ul>
<li>Thorough knowledge of all aspects of CATV construction
</li>
<li>2+ years of cable construction experience
</li>
<li>Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities</li>
<li>Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary</li>

Job Summary

The Coax Splicer performs tasks associated with the aerial and underground electronic upgrade and splicing of coaxial cable for cable television systems in an outside plant environment.
<ul>
<li>Testing, tuning and balancing equipment in order to troubleshoot a service line.</li>
<li>Repair or splice in new line as needed to complete the testing and certification of the project.</li>
<li>Place and install required coax cable when necessary to complete assignment.</li>
<li>Install all passive and active devices, pedestals, and vaults and coax splice cases required to house CATV equipment per customer requirements.</li>
<li>Train and ensure newer employees are learning and using safe work practices at all times.</li>
<li>Test Coax – RF lines for balanced signal between points – continuity and fault</li>
<li>Troubleshooting and repair of Coax line and line equipment</li>
<li>Read and understand site plans, maps and diagrams needed to support project.</li>

The Administrative Assistant role is responsible for carrying out a full range of complex and confidential administrative assignments on behalf of the Associate Director of the Initiative for Research and Education to Advance Community Health (IREACH), Director of the Behavioral Health Innovations, Co-Director of the Program of Excellence in Addiction Research, and Chair of the Committee for Cannabis Research and Outreach. Inventory Manager/Procurement

We are seeking Flaggers to work out of our North Georgia region (Marietta, Alpharetta and Lithia Springs) to perform Line assist at active construction sites. Primary duty is to ensure safe travel of all moving or stationary objects (people, vehicles, and/or equipment). Prior experience with installation/repair/maintenance associated with underground utilities preferred. Duties may also include grounds restoration and general construction as directed by Foreman/Supervisor. Valid Driver’s License preferred.

Chemical Laboratory Technician I

Job Duties: 
<ul>
<li>Prepare samples for all analytical testing procedures.</li>
<li>Preparation of reagents and standards as needed.</li>
<li>Ensure appropriate testing procedures are conducted in compliance with QA and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements.</li>
<li>Meet turn-around-time (TAT) goals. Inform Lab manager if issues arise that effect the TAT.</li>
<li>Support with equipment and supply orders.</li>
<li>Assist the team with installing, calibrating, testing, operating and maintaining equipment for testing; sets up instruments and conducts sample tests; performs routine calibration of instrumentation; ensures an adequate supply of test materials are available for the chemist to perform daily testing.</li>
<li>Assist laboratory technicians with sample receipt, handling, and storage.</li>
<li>Assist Quality departments to maintain the equipment calibration program.</li>
<li>Follow and exercise procedural, safety and quality requirements.</li>
</ul>
Skills: 
<ul>
<li>Able to make sound and independent decisions based on functional expertise and experience.</li>
<li>Knowledge of sample prep/extraction process for various analytical methods.</li>
<li>Familiar with operation of laboratory instrumentation such as GC, HPLC, and ICP-MS.</li>
<li>Effective communication</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office.</li>
</ul>
Education and Experience: 
Completed 2 years of college or university education that includes coursework in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related science from an accredited college or university and 3 years full-time practical experience in a laboratory setting.
