Northeast Alternatives is looking to add a qualified and exceptional sales person to our existing team. We are looking for motivated, independent sales professionals whom care about helping people and believe in the medicinal value of cannabis.

Hourly pay: Dependent on experience and qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 21+ years old
  • Ability to pass a detailed criminal background check and no criminal record
  • Reliability and trustworthiness
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Dedicated to learn about cannabis products including strains and extracts
  • Ability to self start and stay on top of inventory
  • Knowledge of and compliance with State Cannabis laws

DUTIES:

Candidates will be expected to perform the following duties:

Presence - Must be positive and welcoming.

Sales Expertise - Must be well rounded in finding/sourcing products most appropriate for NEA and NEA clients. Stay current on product knowledge and share that knowledge with bud tenders and management.

Product Knowledge - Must be familiar with various methods of consumption. Must be an expert in cannabis quality and extract quality. Be professional in appearance, actions and verbal communications at all times.

Organization and Cleanliness - Ensure cleanliness of space. Keep NEA store front stocked at all times.

Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional client and wholesale situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.

Cooperation - Establishes and maintains effective relations; exhibits tact and consideration; offers assistance and support to co-workers; works cooperatively in group situations; works actively to resolve conflicts.

Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interests; able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; supports everyone’s efforts to succeed.

Education and/or Experience –

Bachelors

Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization to educate about the product.

Mathematical Skills – Math skill and ability to make presentable excel sheet is an absolute must.

Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Conducting periodic cycle counts of finished goods, raw materials, and critical supplies
  • Maintaining inventory record accuracy
  • Mirroring the physical movement of goods in the system of record
  • Receiving finished goods inventory
  • Verifying physical counts with production orders
  • Labeling product and bins as a part of the put-away process
  • Picking, packing, and staging retail orders and home delivery orders
  • Preparing required documentation for transportation
  • Coordinating with the Delivery Dept on fulfillment of home delivery orders
  • Interfacing with Couriers to receive proof of delivery documentation and/or returned product
  • Placing orders for the replenishment of raw materials and supplies
  • Travel to facilities to ensure quality control and make relationships
  • Pick all wholesale, and, as company grows we will also be wholesaling.

Requirements

  • Must pass a comprehensive background check
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Strong Microsoft office computer skills a must
  • Bachelors degree
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong cannabis knowledge
