Salary Information: 
Police Officer $20.34 - $30.63 per hour + 2% bilingual Spanish/English incentive. 
The scored oral interview: 
A panel of interviewers will ask questions to gain insight into your qualifications and ability to perform as a police officer. We are interested in your prior education or experience, your reasons for seeking a position as a police officer, and why you feel you would be a good member of our team. 
An eligibility list will be created based on an average of the written exam and oral interview scores. Points will be awarded to eligible veterans in accordance with Federal and State laws, those details are outlined below.
 
It is the successful candidate's responsibility to notify Nampa City Human Resources of any change of address and/or telephone number during the term of the eligibility list. 
Names may remain on the eligibility list for one year, or until deemed otherwise by the Police Chief and/or Human Resource Director.
 
Prior to appointment, candidate(s) will be required to pass a driving record check, a comprehensive background investigation, a full medical exam and drug/alcohol screening which is paid for by the City of Nampa.
 
Note regarding Veterans Status: 
Candidates who qualify for veteran's preference, and who pass the administered exams of the entry-level testing process, are given veteran's preference points which are added to their overall test score. You must submit a long-form DD-214 which indicates the nature of your discharge to receive veteran's preference.

Testing Procedures: 
Applicants will take the physical agility test the same day as the oral board interview. One all completed information is submitted, your online application status will be changed to “Invited to Test”.
 
There will be two opportunities to take the physical agility exam and Oral board interview. One will take place on Tuesday, July 31st and the other will take place on Monday, August 27th. The physical agility test will take place at the Nampa Recreation Center located at 131 Constitution Way, Nampa, ID 83686 on the same dates beginning at 6:30 a.m.
 
You must complete all requirements to be invited to attend the physical and oral board. Once all requirements have been met, your online status will change to “Invited to Test”.
 
POSITION SUMMARY 
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES 
The principal function of an employee in this class is to perform a variety of law enforcement duties in the enforcement of all Federal, State, and local laws and ordinances to ensure the preservation of public peace, prevention of crimes, protection of life and property. The work is performed under the supervision and direction of a Command Officer, but considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative. The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Police Chief, other Command Officers, other City personnel, elected and appointed officials, representatives of Federal, State, County and municipal agencies, and the general public. The principal duties of this class are performed in a variety of emergency and non-emergency situations which may involve exposure to potential personal danger. 
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW 
The goal of the Patrol Division is to address community problems and assure a safe community environment through directed and routine patrol. As the most visible and largest division of the police department, the Patrol Division provides the first response to emergency and non-emergency incidents. Patrol personnel proactively address community problems, use various specialized units for special community problems, and deliver police services to city residents. 
A total of 64 patrol officers, five S.T.E.P officers and 4 DUI specialists man eight teams in the patrol division. 5 sworn volunteer reserve officers also volunteer their time and assist with patrol activities. Two watch commanders (Lieutenants) act as supervisors of the shifts. Each patrol team has a Sergeant and Corporal directly supervising the team. The schedule has a day shift, early swing shift, a late swing shift and a night shift each day. The officers work 11.5-hour shifts, alternating working 4 days one week then 3 days the next week. The schedule has double coverage between 11:00 A.M. and 3:00 A.M. each day, allowing for more units to be available during these high call loads time periods. Many extra duty assignments including K-9, Tactical Response Team (TRT), Field Training Officer, and Crime Scene Investigator, are available to the patrol officers. As with any department, the patrol division is the backbone of the agency, with most of the department's resources being put into this division.

Performs complex investigative work, including investigating crime scenes and traffic accidents, making arrests as warranted, performing crime scene control, interviewing victims, suspects, and witnesses, photographing crime scenes, dusting for fingerprints, and storing and maintaining evidence in accordance with prescribed guidelines as required.
 
10. Performs residential and business security checks. 
11. Provides emergency medical attention to citizens when responding to calls for assistance.
 
12. Maintains all appropriate reports and records of criminal and arrest activity for use in both documentation and prosecution and gives testimony in open court.
 
13. Coordinates crime scene control and investigations, including conducting interviews.
 
14. Evaluates and determines the use of lethal force using the greatest level of discretion.
 
15. Maintains security and possession of a firearm and related equipment at all times.
 
16. Monitors an assigned area in order to prevent crime, traffic violations, and accidents, including stopping motorists for vehicle maintenance violations, and/or unsafe, illegal, or suspicious actions as necessary.
 
17. Apprehends individuals suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and administers appropriate tests as required.
 
18. Protects and secures accident, disaster, and crime scenes to ensure the preservation of evidence for investigation and protection of persons and property.
 
19. Responds to burglar alarms, armed robberies, assaults, other crimes in progress, and general calls for police assistance, and warns, summons, or arrests violators as appropriate.
 
20. Conducts investigations of criminal complaints and other deceptive practices, including collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, appearing and testifying in court, and applying and serving search and arrest warrants as necessary.
 
21. Locates and processes stolen vehicles. 
22. Assists motorists with inoperable vehicles and arranges for the immediate removal of stranded vehicles to ensure public safety.
 
23. Responds to civil and disturbance of the peace calls, and takes appropriate action to ensure public safety, including communicating with emotionally disturbed persons and restraining uncooperative individuals.
 
24. Prepares complete and accurate reports on all arrests, citations, warnings, and other enforcement activities as required.
 
25. Appears and testifies in court as required. 
26. Acts as a liaison between the Police Department and the news media, local organizations, schools, and the general public to ensure effective working relationships and positive public relations, including working with other local civic groups to educate the general public on issues such as public health, child safety, traffic safety, and anti-drug and violence campaigns.
 
27. Addresses citizens' complaints or concerns regarding significant and/or controversial issues and takes appropriate measures to ensure an expedient resolution or citizen satisfaction.
 
28. Stays abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of law enforcement.

Production Specialist - Tier 1

PURPOSE OF ROLE: 
The Sales Consultant position is a crucial role in the company, as it is the first point of contact for our customers (accounts) and manages all aspects of the business between Ionic and retail stores. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; ACCOUNTABILITIES:

PURPOSE OF ROLE: 
The Sales Consultant position is a crucial role in the company, as it is the first point of contact for our customers (accounts) and manages all aspects of the business between Ionic and retail stores. The Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking highly motivated and talented individuals for the positions of Correctional Officer 1 at the Washington Corrections Center (WCC) in Shelton, WA. WCC is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These are on-call/intermittent positions with no minimum hour guarantee. 
Washington Corrections Center (WCC) is located 35 miles west of Olympia, the state capital. WCC is the Reception and Diagnostic Center, a close-custody facility with the primary responsibility to process, test, and classify all adult male felons sentenced to prison in Washington State. The facility has eight living units and houses 1,500 offenders. There are about 600 offenders screened and assessed each month. WCC is also the major hub for transfer of offenders to and from facilities throughout the state.

On-call staff may have the opportunity to work an average of 32-40 hours per week, although the positions have no minimum hour guarantee. Incumbents will be required to attend 6 weeks of full time paid training immediately upon hire and will be considered for full time permanent and/or temporary vacancies as they occur. About You You are the face of Zeon, promoting and selling our products and services to existing customers and leading the charge as we move forward into new and dormant markets. Job Description
The responsibilities of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Specialist within Garden Remedies broadly embrace the key areas described below. Working with the Director of Cultivation, the IPM Specialist will oversee all IPM activities including identifying insects, arthropods, vertebrates and other pests and controls or eliminates as necessary. This individual will be self-motivated and highly knowledgeable about insect, arachnid and other pest identification and is well versed in organic pest control methods and all related equipment, calibration and application techniques.
Duties: 
<ul>
<li>Maintains current knowledge of local, state and federal codes and regulations related to IPM in agriculture; oversees adherence to current codes and creates plans to modify or adapt to changes in code or regulations as needed.</li>
<li>Correctly identifies insects, arthropods, vertebrates and other pests and understands their physiology.</li>
<li>Creates and implements treatment plans as necessary with a focus on organic treatment options based on current conditions and physiology, including calculating chemical requirements based on area dimensions.</li>
<li>Operates, maintains and repairs treatment equipment.</li>
<li>Implements and monitors quality standards; may create and publish reports to all relevant parties in a timely manner as required.</li>
<li>Implements IPM techniques and methodologies at various stages of plant growth and development, as directed by Cultivation Management Team.</li>
<li>May participates in harvests, trimming, cloning and other duties to maintain an efficient work flow through-out the facility.</li>
<li>Assists in the operations of the grow, to include but not limited to set-up, cleaning of pots and equipment, repotting, cloning and all other duties as required.</li>

Responsibilities:

<li>Owns the IPM function, maintaining a clean and efficient environment. Effectively identifies insects, arthropods, vertebrates and other pests and creates treatment plans.</li>
<li>Assists the Cultivation Management Team daily to ensure that whatever that needs to be done within the facility related to IPM is completed in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Is responsible for adhering to Garden Remedies’ Security Policies and Procedures as well as the MA DPH’s regulations 105 CMR 725.110: Security Requirements for Registered Marijuana Dispensaries.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Has 2+ years’ experience with field or greenhouse pest management or a BS degree applicable to horticulture/agricultural IPM for a large-scale commercial cultivation facility.</li>
<li>Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to engage in creating an amicable work-place.</li>
<li>Good personal hygiene, physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor.</li>
<li>The candidate must pass the state required background check and will have a high security clearance within the company.</li>
