The Director, Retail Operations will work closely with the Ownership to provide strategic oversight of the retail store operations in New Mexico. The Director will implement policies and procedures that increase operational effectiveness and maximize long-term store performance and will be an expert in analyzing business performance metrics and translating it into actionable business results.
 
The Director will execute the retail strategy with specific focus on driving brand awareness.
<ul>
<li>Evaluate the current sales strategy and develop, implement, execute and maintain the retail strategy and growth objectives.</li>
<li>Achieve sales and profit objectives set for by the ownership. * Monitor and report key metrics by location.</li>
<li>Forecast retail store activity and needs.</li>
<li>Oversee merchandising, inventory, real estate, construction, POS, fixtures, etc. in all retail locations.</li>
<li>Hire, lead and motivate retail professionals to be highly engaged, effective, and results oriented.</li>
<li>Coordinate product stocking and transportation logistics to all dispensaries</li>
<li>Provide leadership, supervision and direction to store managers and retail employees by frequenting locations and routine coaching sessions.</li>
<li>Coordinate with dispensary managers to improve inventory levels and product mix, reduce slow moving inventory and excess, and ultimately, improve working capital.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities/risks in a timely manner and develop effective responses and action plans.</li>
<li>Drive innovative solutions to improve sales, conversions and customer experience; identify and recommend areas for improved retail training.</li>
<li>Build upon, and continue to deliver, a workplace culture of excellence, service, and passion about our mission and customers.</li>
<li>Act as a liaison between the retail dispensaries and the ownership for clear strategic direction.</li>
<li>Add input and direct on store design, openings, and remodels, identifying opportunities that will enhance customer experience and operational efficiencies.</li>
<li>Work closely with data &amp; analytics on the sales trends and make recommendations to refine sales strategy to maximize profitability.</li>
<li>Set sales targets and implement action plans for achieving set goals in each market and overall.</li>
<li>Forecast sales figures and inventory requirements for each location and coordinate the transportation of goods from storage to retail dispensaries.</li>
<li>Direct merchandising strategies and educate retail staff on company brands, messaging, and products</li>
<li>Become an expert in all aspects of the industry; gain a solid understanding of competition and anticipate market trends that drive proactive business decisions</li>
<li>Anticipate and plan for a transition to adult cannabis use.</li>
<li>Stay current on factors affecting the medical cannabis market - including regulatory changes, business opportunities, and competitors - and quickly make corresponding adjustments to strategy or tactics</li>
<li>Oversee the company’s customer loyalty program for customer retention that sustains and elevates the company’s revenue goals</li>
<li>Recruit, evaluate, select, and dispensary managers and dispensary staff who are capable of achieving objectives for the company</li>

The position will also oversee the marketing of the retail dispensary brand
<ul>
<li>Oversee digital content management including social media, website, text, and email marketing programs</li>
<li>Print advertising management</li>
<li>Corporate Branding</li>
<li>Preparing and managing marketing budget</li>
<li>Manage graphic design and marketing team</li>
<li>Establish and maintain a consistent company image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events</li>

Director of Retail Sales

As a growing organization, Entry Level Growers are responsible for executing production plans in keeping with the Company’s operating procedures. Entry Level Growers carry out the day-to-day assignments and tasks of the medical Cannabis production cycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Cloning: cutting and transplanting; watering; labeling; and inventory data input.</li>
<li>Plant care during vegetative and flowering phase: trimming, manipulating and staking; big leafing and pruning; watering; plant monitoring; inventory data input.</li>
<li>Harvesting: cutting plants; weighing and inventory data input into the electronic inventory tracking system.</li>
<li>Operating and maintaining cultivation systems/equipment; stocking and handling production inputs and supplies; sanitizing and cleaning growing rooms, cultivation workspaces and tools.</li>
<li>Packaging and Trimming may be needed during peak times.</li>
<li>General cleanup.</li>
<li>Any other tasks assigned by Management.</li>
</ul>
Education and Qualification Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Must understand and implement the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the TCRA and state; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry.</li>
<li>Fundamental knowledge, as well as the ability to be taught and guided in areas related to harvesting, drying, trimming and curing.</li>
<li>Skill in analyzing potential problems with a plant or the product being processed.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and organized work environment.</li>
<li>Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of grow warehouse.</li>
<li>Must have accountability, proactive behavior and strong attention to detail.</li>
</ul>
