Digital Producer - Cannabis Section

The newsroom is looking for an experienced and dynamic journalist to manage and execute the day-to-day digital operations of the Boston Globe's new Marijuana/Cannabis section.

Responsibilities:

• Experiment with, adapt to, and suggest digital storytelling approaches, formats, and tools that better serve our audience and team
• Consistently voice new ideas and solutions that help to improve our coverage. Actively contribute to brainstorms and discussions that impact the site’s offering.
• Managing the section front on Globe.com
• Coordinating and producing email newsletters
• Managing social channels
• Executing push alerts to our site and mobile app

Requirements:

• Journalism experience.
• Possess an entrepreneurial attitude
• A professional understanding of social platforms
