JOB PURPOSE
The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for coordinating with the Production and Warehouse team to forecast and procure supplies as needed. They will also work with our inventory drivers to ensure on-time deliveries to our various branches. RESPONSIBILITIES

Purchasing Specialist

If you are interested in learning how to grow top shelf organic cannabis on a commercial scale, this is probably the best internship opportunity available.
Each year we take two groups of six interns through 9 weeks of our growing, harvesting and curing process. If selected, you’ll gain hands on experience in transplanting, pruning, watering, fertilizing and harvesting cannabis. You’ll also gain hands on knowledge in Integrated Pest Management and brewing microbial teas. We provide lessons in cloning and soil science. You’ll also get plenty of practice learning how to be efficient at leafing and bucking, two skills that will get you in the door at a farm.
It’s hard work. We only take candidates with at least one year of experience in farming, landscaping or similar outdoor work. We count on our interns to do 30 hours of work each week.
In exchange for your hard work, we provide a boot camp experience in cannabis cultivation. We provide primitive lodging, a nice hot tub, owls, trees and deer, and a $100/week food stipend. At the end of your nine weeks, we also provide a $500 bonus.
Upon completion of the program, many of our candidates are able to find regular work in the industry.

<li>Lead continuous improvement initiatives to maximize productivity levels through efficiencies in human capital, reduction of material waste, and elimination of downtime; continue to develop and improve safety program and best practices</li>

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: <ul>
<li>Must understand and implement the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the state; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and laws is appreciated and commendable.</li>
<li>Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges</li>
<li>Experience in horticulture, botany, chemistry or related field preferred but not required</li>
<li>Ability to manage all areas related to harvesting, drying, trimming and curing.</li>
<li>Ability to manage a team of employees</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and organized work environment.</li>
<li>Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of trimming &amp; packaging area.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required; 2-year management experience preferred.</li>

<li>Strong knowledge &amp; comfort with basic computer &amp; office equipment operations (inventory systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)</li>

We’re presently recruiting applicants 21 years or older for IT Support Specialist:
 
To maintain computer, low-voltage, electronic and software systems used to operate Commencement Bay Cannabis and service these systems to provide efficient functionality. This position will be responsible for interacting with contractors on-site and assisting by providing technical information when necessary. This position will educate employees of our various technological systems and how to operate them.
 IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL: Be at least 21 years of age and HAVE: 
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
 
Associates Degree preferred
 
2 years of IT experience preferred
 
Previous experience with computer/low-voltage systems preferred
 OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 
Knowledge of basic IT support
 
Excellent communication, listening and patience
 
Ability to communicate technological concepts in layman's terms
 
Ability to work under pressure
