What You Will Do
 
We are seeking a Master Chocolatier who is excited to bring their talent to the cannabis industry. In this position you’ll combine your passion and creativity with your innovation and commercialization experience to successfully scale and meet customer demand for our fast-growing business.
 Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): <ul>
<li>Source commercial candy and/or chocolate making equipment to create production lines.</li>
<li>Develop, test and recommend new recipes and products and revise formulas/recipes, SOPs and product specifications as needed.</li>
<li>Read and understand formulas/recipes, measurements, tapes and thermometers.</li>
<li>Read and understand product specifications and recognize and address deviations from those specifications.</li>
<li>Produce candies in batches per company standards and monitor more than one batch or process simultaneously.</li>
<li>Complete and maintain batch records, sanitation checklists, equipment logs, and other required paperwork.</li>
<li>Complete production with precision and efficiency while managing team members and establish and meet weekly production targets.</li>
<li>Achieve production efficiencies in line with cost-of-goods-sold targets, and demonstrate expertise in recommending and executing cost control production processes that save time and materials.</li>
<li>Handle, label, and store all ingredients and products in accordance with regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Send product for testing and ensure THC levels are acceptable as set by law.</li>
<li>Minimize chocolate loss through careful handling of chocolate and skill with use and care of molds.</li>
<li>Follow health code standards and maintain the kitchen in “inspection ready” condition and handle walk through inspections with regulators.</li>
<li>Identify and clearly communicate production priorities that align with customer/seasonal demand as well as profitability.</li>
<li>Establish ongoing quality control processes that minimize errors and waste and identify root cause and correct quality issues.</li>
<li>Ensure that all ingredients necessary for chocolate and confectionery production are accurately stocked, prepared, labeled and ready for use.</li>
</ul>
Who You Are
 
The ideal candidate will possess a mastery of chocolate and/or confection making on a commercial scale. This person must be accomplished and highly focused and able to work as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Experience scaling a growing company and a passion and enthusiasm for chocolate and candy making, as well as the cannabis industry, is a must!
 Additionally, you’ll possess the following: <ul>
<li>Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience working for a national or venerable candy/chocolate company.</li>
<li>Previous experience with innovation, commercialization, and scaling in a chocolate/candy manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>An eye for detail, quality and the ability to produce fine tempered chocolate and/or confections.</li>
<li>Experience overseeing multiple product production lines.</li>
<li>A strong command of SOPs and best practices.</li>
<li>Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, food science, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of our products.</li>

Master Chocolatier

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years working in commercial production within the legal cannabis industry. Previous experience in a greenhouse environment would be great but is not necessary. The candidate should have a strong understanding for all aspects of cannabis production including, but not limited to: knowledge of genetics, nutrition, water, lighting, media, pests, pesticides, plant sex, hermaphrodites, cloning, pruning, trellising, cross contamination, air circulation, and climatic conditions, Experience in harvest and post production would also be very useful. They need to be reliable, trustworthy and have a can do/whatever it takes attitude. A positive nature and the ability to work effectively within a team is crucial.
<ul><li>Perform all tasks in the light deprivation greenhouse perpetual harvest grow:</li></ul>
<ul>
<li>Mother plant maintenance, tissue culture, cloning, transplanting, nutrients and pH management, water management, positive airflow, temperature and humidity control, pest and disease control, plant transfer from veg to flowering</li>
<li>Manage plant scheduling and organization to precisely project all plant needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to produce the best results for maximum plant yield.</li>
<li>Cataloguing and maintaining organization of plants from seed-to-harvest using our seed-to-sale system management program</li>
<li>Knowledge of pest and disease control and management</li>
<li>Maintain and follow the cultivation department policies and procedures</li>
<li>Wash and sanitize all equipment. Scout all equipment, ensuring all tools are free of pests, viruses or disease</li>
<li>Demonstrate accurately and thoroughly in a timely manner to meet production standards. Work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity</li>
<li>Maintain organization and cleanliness of the cultivation facility while performing job duties</li>
<li>Uphold quality of finished product through employing attention to detail while manicuring flower</li>
<li>Breakdown flowers off stem and stalk of plant to separate unusable waste from useable product; employee must track the amount of unusable waste for each batch</li>
<li>After breakdown of plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower</li>
<li>Account for each by-product type processed off the flower; adding stems and fan leaves separately to “waste” for proper tracking and disposal by managers and trim/sugar leaves to “useable by-product” (trim)</li>
<li>Exhibit competency in basic organizational, tracking and communication skills</li>
<li>Must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of cannabis they are cultivating; adjusting techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality</li>
<li>Works in a timely manner to efficiently meet goals while consistently producing quality product</li>
<li>Employee must be able to follow basic instructions and take constructive criticism from their managers to maintain quality standards and production goals</li>
<li>Employee must show up on time for work every day ready to work</li>
<li>Employee must exhibit personal hygiene and follow the health guidelines set forth by the company and the state while processing patient medicine</li>
<li>Cultivation staff is responsible for clean-up of all processing areas and equipment at the end of every shift</li>

Sid Simone, Inc is hiring Sales Training Consultants to facilitate experiential sales training to prospective Brand Ambassadors, throughout the US. You will teach trainees protocol and basic functions of Promotional Marketing 101, Alcohol/Food Demonstrations, Alcohol/Food Sales, and Food Handling. You will utilize the company’s training program, and add some of your own material for the workshops. You will travel locally, domestically and internationally.
