Duties
This job class is designated as in-training. The employee will advance to CO2 after satisfactory completion of the CO1 training requirements. 
In an adult correctional facility, Correctional Officers provide safety and security, and assist in controlling, directing, and monitoring the activities and movement of incarcerated individuals. This includes maintaining security of the institution and controlling movement into, out of and within the institution in accordance with established department methods and procedures. 
Correctional Officers are expected to be a positive role model and work with the incarcerated individuals to help them become productive members of society from the day they arrive under supervision. Correctional Officers use interpersonal skills and good communication skills to correct and counteract criminal thinking while maintaining safe confinement environments for the individuals to pursue a successful re-entry into communities. The successful candidates for Correctional Officer 1 will possess creative thinking, self-confidence, strong role-modeling and good physical and mental conditioning. 
Overtime is an essential function of this position. 
Correctional Officers must successfully complete Correctional Worker Core (CWC), a six-week academy for all correctional workers employed in DOC prison facilities. We know that managing difficult people takes more than force. It takes observation, knowledge, skills and continual practice. Every DOC employee is provided with initial training designed to help assure safe working conditions. In addition, officers participate in the Correctional Officer Achievement Program (COACH), a unique in the nation, comprehensive, year-long, structured on-the-job training program for new correctional officers. In COACH, new officers continue to build on the skills and knowledge they learned in the CWC. Marketing Coordinator

The Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor is a primary counselor to clients (youth age 13-17) and their families and is responsible for all duties related to this function including screening; intakes, and assessments; individual, group and family counseling, home visits, and case management.
BILINGUAL - ENGLISH/SPANISH REQUIRED!
Duties and Accountability/Expectations: 
Counseling Duties: 
<ul>
<li>Performs primary counselor duties to client and their families, including but not limited to, psycho-social assessments; development and review of treatment plans; crises intervention; group, individual, family and didactic sessions, and home visits; discharge summary and planning; and coordination of treatment services with probation, school, and other referral sources</li>
<li>Provides client supervision</li>
<li>Utilizes industry accepted treatment modalities as required by CYT curriculum and other effective modalities for adolescent substance abuse treatment</li>
<li>Responsible for timely and accurate completion of client charts on CMBHS, reports, and other documentation related to treatment and progress of clients in the program. These reports include but are not limited to individual and weekly progress notes documentation of attendance and participation in groups, didactic educational sessions, family sessions and case management</li>
<li>Maintain a client file error rate that does not exceed 5%</li>
<li>Maintain a successful program completion rate of at least 65%</li>
<li>Attends and participates in clinical reviews, staff meetings and other treatment team meetings in accordance with program procedures</li>
<li>Attends all required sessions in accordance with Youth 180, Inc. and state licensing requirements</li>
<li>Responsible for seeking supervision from the Program Director for clinical decisions as needed</li>
<li>Adheres to and promotes Youth 180 missions and values. Acts as a role model to clients, families and other staff</li>
<li>Adheres to the professional ethics and standards of conduct as established by the appropriate professional licensure and the policies of Youth 180, Inc.</li>
<li>Knowledge of CMBHS and ability to navigate system effectively for client charts and other purposes</li>

Program Duties: 
<ul>
<li>Assist Program Director in identifying new markets to increase client population. This is includes making telephone calls and in-person visits to potential referral sources. It also includes contacting current referral sources to maintain good relationships that result in client referrals.</li>
<li>Assists and assumes responsibility for adhering to all grant and contract requirements and outcomes, including but not limited to Contracted MCOs, the Dallas County Juvenile Department and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.</li>
<li>Acts as the liaison between the treatment program and the appropriate provider for HIV/AIDS instructor. Responsible for evaluation the provider’s appropriateness and effectiveness for the treatment program. When necessary will identify and secure another provider.</li>

Qualifications - Education, Training, and Experience:
College degree in related in field is required along with LCDC certification; A Masters Degree accompanied by appropriate licensure (LCDC, LPC, or LMSW) would also be accepted. Four years’ experience in an adolescent treatment program is preferred. Knowledge of trauma informed care preferred. Strong organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skill, and knowledge of CMBHS are required. Valid Texas driver’s license is required.

PT COUNSELOR, Adolescent Treatment (BILINGUAL ONLY)

The Kitchen Assistant / Packager will be responsible for assisting the Kitchen Supervisor in the making of baked goods, drinks, candies and other cannabis-derived products. In addition, the Kitchen Assistant will also be responsible for helping with the packaging of these products and other cannabis-derived products.
The position requires attention to detail, following directions, general computer skills, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. Maturity, a strong work ethic, and accountability will be required to be successful at this position. You will NOT need to have knowledge of dosing or making cannabis edibles. New Mexico has strict product tracking and content testing standards. Compliance and adherence to procedures and policies is critical.

Disqualifying convictions: Individuals convicted of a felony violation of Section 30-31-20 (trafficking of a controlled substance); 30-31-21 (distributing a controlled substance to a minor); 30-31-22 NMSA 1978 (distributing a controlled substance); or a violation of any equivalent federal statute or equivalent statute from any other jurisdiction, shall be prohibited from participating or being associated with either a non-profit producer licensed under this rule, an approved laboratory, an approved manufacturer, or an approved courier. If an individual has been convicted of a felony violation of the NM Controlled Substances Act other than Sections 30-31-20 through 30-31-22 NMSA 1978, or has been convicted of any equivalent federal statute or equivalent statute from any other jurisdiction, and the final completion of the entirety of the associated sentence of such conviction has been less than five years from the date of the individual’s anticipated association with the production facility, then the individual shall be prohibited from serving on the board of a licensed non-profit producer, or working for the licensed producer, or approved entity. An individual who is disqualified shall be notified of his or her disqualification. If an individual has been convicted of more than one felony violation of the above-cited sections of the NM Controlled Substances Act or an equivalent federal statute or equivalent statute from any other jurisdiction, the individual shall be notified that he or she is permanently prohibited from participating or being associated with a licensed non-profit producer, approved manufacturer, approved laboratory, or approved courier. Any violation of this subsection shall result in the immediate revocation of any privilege granted under this rule and the act.
Physical Demands:
The employee is occasionally required to sit, balance, kneel, crouch or stand for prolonged periods of time and complete repetitive movements. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
