Project Coordinator, Creative Agency

Position Summary: Plans, coordinates, implements and facilitates compliance/enforcement and mitigation activities of Big Valley Cannabis Ordinance, cannabis regulations and environmental codes relating to possession, consumption, distribution, transportation, cultivation, manufacturing and growing of cannabis; To perform difficult and responsible inspections pertaining to Cannabis cultivation, manufacturing and distribution within the boundaries of the Rancheria; and related duties as assigned.
Primary Duties:

<li>Assists with the development of cannabis regulations for all properties within the Big Valley Rancheria boundaries;</li>
<li>Identify plant species, particularly cannabis for investigative purposes related to restrictions of the plant in Tribal code;</li>
<li>Read and understand site plans, blueprints, maps, drawings, specifications, legal descriptions, contract documents, criminal code, penal code, graphs and building and use permits including that related to cannabis/marijuana cultivation;</li>
<li>Use patience, tact, courtesy and self-restraint when dealing with members of the general public who choose to cultivate cannabis/marijuana whether in accordance with or in violation of Tribal laws and codes pertaining to cannabis cultivation;</li>
<li>Perform inspections on a scheduled and as needed basis of all cannabis operation on Big Valley Rancheria to ensure compliance with Tribal code;</li>
<li>Identify violations versus permitted land uses per zoning or cannabis related ordinances, ordinance codes, and maintain files on all violations including those related to cannabis/marijuana cultivation;</li>
<li>Issuing fines, penalties, and notices in accordance with this Ordinance, or delegated pursuant to this Ordinance or regulation;</li>
<li>Prepare accurate written reports, letter, legal documents, and instructions pertaining to regulations</li>

<li>Conducting inspections and examinations of Licensee operations and records;</li>

Position Overview: Pure Filtration is a Portland Based private company that provides proprietary chemical processing to Cannabis Extraction Facilities. It is a brand-new process and technology that is in high demand. They are looking for a full-time Chemical Operator that will be performing the variety of functions integral to the fulfillment of Pure’s contract with their clients. They are poised for furious growth due to the market demand on their services, provided by no other cannabis company in the world. They are looking for someone who can be trained quickly, would like to move up in role responsibility, and has the detailed and diligent mind set necessary for this high stakes position.
Essential Duties: 
Overseeing extraction process and tending to the parameters on all equipment used for extraction to ensure the efficiency of the extraction is optimized.
Keep records all analytical data within each step of the operations process and input the data
Documenting all products coming from through the chemical process, inventory, and supplies record keeping
Organize and store all products according to safety and company standards.
Cleans, assembles, disassembles, and replaces equipment as required.
Keeps supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.
Assist in relevant chemical processing tasks including, but not limited to, cannabinoid and terpene extraction, winterization, purging oils, concentrate production, vape oil refining, and production of whole plant Cannabis oil (WPCO), and oil and ETOH reclamation.
Understanding of OSHA guidelines for workplace safety and hazardous chemicals.
Build and maintain working relationships with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) of equipment
Working collectively and respectfully with other team members.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions: 
Position is full-time and on site in Van Nuys, California
Moderate physical demand; may include carrying empty and loaded extraction columns and cartridges. Up to 50lbs
Qualifications and Experience:

<li>Have bachelors of science in a science field preferably chemistry or biochemistry</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of lab procedures including chromatography.</li>
<li>Expertise in subcritical and supercritical CO2 extraction methods as well as the purification, separation and isolation of various compounds of cannabis;</li>

Budtender Job Description
Overview: Budtenders use their extensive product knowledge to guide customers to the appropriate medical or recreational product and provide excellent customer service while complying with all regulations.
Essential Functions: 
--Strong Customer Service, must be positive and welcoming, greet all customers as they enter.
--Assists customers in selection of appropriate products, and accurately answers any questions they may have
--Maintain extensive knowledge about strains, products, consumption methods, and cannabis culture
--Knowledgeable about medical efficacy of various products
--Keep current on all pertinent local and state regulations
--Cleanliness and organization of the store
--Package, process, and roll cannabis
--Stock shelves, counters, and displays with merchandise
--Sticker and tag merchandise
--Ring up sales and enter discounts in POS system
--Spot inventory merchandise as required
--Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Work Environment
This job operates in a retail business environment. The role routinely uses standard retail equipment such as registers, phones, computers, printers, and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands
This is an active position requiring regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day. The position requires talking and hearing as well as visual acuity. Employees must frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Good motor coordination is required for weighing and packaging of product.
Expected Hours of Work
Days and hours of work may vary by scheduling or seasonal needs. Evening and weekend work is required.

Budtender

The Nug Nation (thenugnation.com) is looking to add creative and talented motion graphics interns to our team. This is a one of a kind opportunity to use your After Effects skills within the fast growing cannabis industry.
The Nug Nation features popular strains of marijuana transformed into characters and brought to life through stop motion animation. Bong Burgundy, Cookie, Affy and the rest of the gang get into ridiculous shenanigans all over the town of Nugville. The show is released online and through our app and is growing quickly with the help of influential partners.
The ideal candidate has experience motion tracking difficult shots within the Adobe Creative Suite. Responsibilities will include placing digital phonic mouths onto stop motion animated cartoon characters as well as creating show openings, lower thirds and other motion graphics in After Effects.
Fair warning this isn't a job for stoners to sit around smoking our characters. We are a casual company and we have fun but there is real work to be done. Scheduling can be flexible between 9-5 Monday to Friday, but we ask you to commit to a minimum of 10-20 hours per week. This is a 3 month unpaid opportunity, after which we will evaluate the possibility of part or full time employment. School credit can be offered.
