Linemen build, repair, and maintain overhead telecommunication systems including traffic signals and street lights. This includes placing, relocating, and removing poles, lines, open wire, drop and block wire in order to maintain efficient operation of the customer’s facilities.
 Linemen Essential Functions:

<li>Repairs and maintains major cable system and structures such as broken lashing, replacing or re-sagging aerial strand, pole transfers, down-guys, aerial to underground conversion, substructure repairs and cable replacements related to system outages, maintenance, rebuilds and emergencies or hazards.</li>
<li>Reads and interprets work orders, specifications, engineering drawings and/or cut sheets to determine work to be done in sequence of task.</li>

Position Summary:

<li>Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, data base management, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail.</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively with employees, management, customers, other governmental agencies, community members and the general public.</li>
<li>Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.</li>

<li>Must pass any and all required background checks</li>

Minimum Education and Experience:

<li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Previous customer service or retail experience preferred</li>
<li>Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience</li>

Working Conditions:

<li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.</li>
<li>PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance), may include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching.</li>

Candidate must be organized with a strong work ethic, good writing skills, and computer-savvy with experience in Cision or Meltwater. Please be well versed in pop culture and eager to bring your experience and expertise to a PR and Social Media agency. You may be handling clients in the Cannabis industry.
A minimum of 2-3 years of previous experience as a Publicist in an agency is required, or the equivalent experience is acceptable if you have worked 3 internships in PR agencies.
