We are seeking an Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering Manager in the Los Angeles area to play a key role in a fiber optic cable implementation project spanning a large urban/suburban market for a Tier One service provider. The Engineering Manager will engage with our construction partners, subcontractors, in- house personnel, and key customer contacts to coordinate and manage local engineering and construction efforts to successfully execute the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Lead a team of in-market engineering personnel consisting of both direct reports and subcontractor resources.</li>
<li>Oversee the activities of field engineering personnel who are responsible for planning, designing, and obtaining permits for the new cable routes.</li>
<li>Coordinate with drafting and GIS personnel located in remote offices to produce construction drawings to be used to construct the network.</li>
<li>Work as part of a multi-faceted team consisting of engineering, construction, project management, and scheduling personnel, all with a common interest of delivering results to the customer</li>
<li>Daily engagement with customer’s engineering team and project management staff via emails / phone as well as occasional in-person meetings</li>
<li>Report and have accountability to the Project Manager with frequent updates on project progress and risks</li>
<li>Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to regulations and policies.</li>

REQUIREMENTS:

<li>7 - 10 years of OSP Engineering Experience</li>
<li>The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of the telecommunications industry standards, practices and regulations pertaining to the engineering of fiber optic outside plant facilities</li>
<li>Knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements</li>
<li>Candidate must be familiar with general permitting requirements for State Department of Transportation, as well as other state, county and city permitting agencies</li>

Work Environment

PRIMARY DUTIES:

<li>Responsible for Daily Operations of the store during your scheduled shift including but not limited to: Till Mgmt., Staff Breaks, Task Mgmt., Opening and Closing duties, other operational duties as assigned by the Store Manager and Senior Management
