Duties and responsibilities

Cash Handling: Accounting for cash as it is received is your responsibility, maintain accuracy and organization throughout shift. Use of basic math skills essential to position.</li>

Inventory Controls: Keep Inventory Manager or Lead Budtender informed of all products needing to be restocked or adjusted throughout shift. Again, scan all items ensure selling of correct items at all times.</li>
<li>
Product Knowledge: At the start of all shifts, it is necessary to check for any new products that have become part of active inventory since last shift worked. This can be done by referring to the New Items Board, that will be updated regularly to reflect all current active inventory with descriptions. Persons receiving product from vendors will update this sheet as part of their job duties anytime new products are put on shelves.</li>

Daily Organization: Ensure all products in every category has proper display and signage. Keep work space and store neat and organized always. Use something, put it away when finished.</li>
<li>Oversee all personnel, scheduling, training and compliance activities</li>
<li>
Policy Knowledge: Regular review of company policy information and state law. Ask questions for what you do not have the answers to.</li>
<li>
Online Business Communication: Communication for store and company updates is mandatory practice, every shift. Check our Facebook page regularly</li>

Coordinating marketing and sales campaigns: Making sure proper margins are the products, as well as displaying the products, and creating sales campaigns to drive growth.</li>

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
Assist manufacturing team in the production of cannabis based medicines. Supervise/manage all aspects of laboratory production and analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication may be required. Sitting or standing for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office and laboratory equipment. Must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting scientific and packaging equipment.

The Role

The General Manager (GM) of Cultivation oversees, manages, and is responsible for all facets of GTI’s cannabis cultivation &amp; processing facility. This individual manages internal resources to maximize safety, compliance, efficiency, productivity and culture. (S)He will also own all aspects of employee personnel and talent management in partnership with the People Department as it relates to hiring, staffing, training, development and education of the entire team.


Responsibilities

<ul>
<li>Oversee all facets of GTI’s three main business units of the facility: cultivation, lab processing, packaging &amp; fulfillment. Including: scheduling, staffing, productivity, efficiency, and inventory oversight and management.
 </li>
<li>Analyze facility data, including efficiency metrics, labor variance analysis, defect rates, cost drivers, volume and capacity planning, etc. to make recommendations on optimal quality and efficiency improvements</li>
<li>
Work directly with business teams to understand performance drivers and trends in their area, provide insights, make recommendations, and interpret new data &amp; results</li>
<li>
Develop Company’s bench of leaders to position business for rapid growth / scale</li>
<li>
Develop and produce weekly/monthly reports based on data analysis gathered from facility operations to corporate management clearly illustrating the trends of the business</li>
<li>
Utilize six sigma, 5S, and other efficiency concepts to position the facility for continuous improvement</li>
<li>
Ensure staff reports follow Company SOPs at all points in time</li>
<li>
Participate in developing and implementing rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to advance GTI’s mission, vision, goals and objectives</li>
<li>
Manage, supervise and direct the activities of staff and function</li>
<li>
Make recommendations and decisions regarding hiring, discipline, termination or advancement of employees</li>
<li>
Manage and maintain a company culture consistent with the culture established at GTI corporate of accountability, transparency and enjoyment</li>
<li>
Assign work and monitor progress; guide, train and develop employees in the accomplishment of their duties and goals through professional growth</li>
<li>
Evaluate direct reports’ performance based on clearly communicated standards and expectations.</li>
<li>
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal billing or licensing requirements</li>
<li>
Ensure accurate data entry into the State inventory tracking systems</li>
<li>
Serve as the primary point of contact to the state regulators and inspectors and ensure that the facility is always prepared for state inspections, even those that are unplanned.

<li>Will be required to be on-call and to respond to emergency situations at any time. This may include scheduling issues, potentially covering a vacant shift, facility issues and/or human resources requirements</li>

Continuously improve the skills, knowledge and morale of all employees; create an environment where the entire team does the same</li>

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business required; MBA or similar preferred</li>
<li>
7+ years of management experience; direct management of 30 individuals in a manufacturing setting</li>
<li>
Exposure to horticulture and or plant science or lab processing, a plus</li>
<li>
Can-do attitude and ability to adapt quickly; business is experiencing tremendous growth so previous operational experience in growth environment is substantially preferred</li>
<li>
Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment</li>
<li>
Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally</li>
<li>
Possesses a high level of critical thinking</li>
<li>
Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information</li>

EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
<ul>
<li>Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.</li>
<li>High School Diploma or GED required.</li>
<li>Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, BioTrack, Employee Timekeeping and scheduling platforms preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum of 21 years of age as required by state statute.</li>
<li>Must pass background checks, including fingerprints and drug screening, per applicable requirements set forth under state statute.</li>
</ul>
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 
<ul>
<li>Ability to work up to 7 days per week including holidays, weekends and evenings during high production initiatives</li>
<li>This job function may include walking, sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over, kneeling and/or crouching</li>
<li>Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)</li>
<li>Regular attendance, as scheduled, is required for this position</li>
<li>Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to work in the following conditions:</li>
</ul>

<li>Exposure to pollen, allergens, and chemical pesticides in the grow facility or greenhouse</li>
<li>General office environment</li>
<li>Extended computer usage</li>
<li>Extended phone usage including teleconferences</li>
<li>Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, chemicals, fumes, dust, odors, extreme heat temperatures, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, noise, protective gear, vibrations, and water</li>
