Summary/Objective
 
Responsible for developing and managing a world-class Cannabis breeding program at MedMen to obtain successful cultivars with desirable traits in collaboration with other scientific and agronomy functions. This position will provide leadership, strategic vision and operational excellence in trait based Cannabis breeding technologies in advancement of company’s goals. Foundational knowledge of plant breeding and genetics and demonstrated experience in trait based cultivar development are essential.This position will supervise the work of Plant Breeding and Molecular Genetics staff and will be responsible for the program’s budget.
 
Essential Functions

Leads the creation and evaluation of breeding populations
 Advances the utilization of modern breeding technologies and tools to identify, characterize and incorporate genes of interest for key traits
 Plans and executes the hybridization process, evaluation of progenies, analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data and reporting of breeding trials
 Make selections/hybrids advancement decisions based on key performance indicators
 Utilize all relevant breeding technologies with appropriate allocation of resources directed at the successful development of commercial products for key market segments
 Through engagement and collaborative interaction with breeding technology communities, identify, research, and eventually apply those to your breeding program that enhance breeding program effectiveness and efficiency
 Working collaboratively with the Agronomy team, contributes to the optimization of desirable traits
 Leads cross-functional teams as needed to to successfully develop and deploy new hybrids of interests
 Establishes guidelines, protocols &amp; training for Plant Breeding and Molecular Genetics department and its employees
 Supervises breeding and molecular genetics department employees; trains and advises Agronomy staff about cultivar development processes and work in coordination to continually improve the same

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to ensure smooth building operations. You will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning. Responsibilities

VCI is currently seeking an experienced “UG Dry Utilities Operator” located in Upland, CA.

All candidates must adhere to strict safety standards while ensuring the highest quality of work is completed efficiently and timely.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (include but are not limited to)
<ul>
<li> Must have a valid CA Drivers License</li>
<li> Must have 3-5 years of experience in underground dry utilities</li>
<li> Supervise the lay out, assembly, and installation of duct and vault systems in Southern California for both private and public customers (prevailing wage and standard wage).</li>
<li> Ability to read and understand blueprints and project specifications with project superintendent to plan construction sequencing.</li>
<li> Manage daily activities of 1 to 2 crews.</li>
<li> Utilize heavy equipment and trucking to excavate, install, and complete projects. Ability to operate backhoes, loaders, excavators, asphalt rollers, and other heavy equipment with both CAT and DEERE controls</li>
<li> Continually inspect work site for potential hazards or safety concerns.</li>
<li> Responsible for safe work environments and comply with state, federal, OSHA and VCI safety policies</li>
<li> Review and approve employee time sheets.</li>
<li> Travel to and from job sites in California</li>
<li> Take-Off of materials, aggregates, and project requirements.</li>
<li> Coordinate with Equipment Manager and Purchasing Manager</li>
<li> Schedule and coordinate subcontractors</li>

Underground Dry Utilities Operator - Upland, CA (20)

Job Description The Human Resources Manager develops and maintains strong relationships with managers and employees across the company. We are a fast-growing company, and this role provides HR support to all PharmaCannis East Coast locations – currently New York, Maryland, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. We're looking for a strong business partner who is comfortable operating in the gray while we work to continue implementing strong processes to support our rapid growth.

Develops a strong partnership with the President, East Coast Market to drive regional strategy. Provides support to internal customers in areas of recruiting, benefits, employee relations, employee engagement, compensation, performance management, leave management, training and development, and onboarding.

Responsible for the day-to-day HR support and serves as the HR subject matter expert to all employees

Works with employees and leaders to drive the overall goals of the company.

Develops processes and policy to build a scalable infrustructure.

Reviews existing policies and procedures and initiates changes as necessary to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, corporate policies, and business objectives; Effectively communicates policies and change initiatives

Works with leaders to effectively source, assess and hire candidates. Oversees diversity initiatives and reporting.

Uses sound judgment to provide effective performance management guidance in the areas of coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions

Creates, coordinates, and conducts live and virtual management training for various topics including performance management, diversity, harassment, and talent management

Organizes and conducts new employee orientation: creates a positive first experience of the company

Participates in organization-wide projects and champions organizational engagement and execution

Acts as an advisor and provides technical HR expertise and analytical support to the management team regarding the application of employment laws and corporate policies when addressing specific business issues.
 Qualifications At least seven years of progressive and HR generalist experience; proven ability to partner with a senior leader to drive organizational iniatives.

Ability to plan and execute programs and projects, and manage day-to-day HR responsibilities

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization

Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain confidentiality while handling multiple tasks

Ability to analyze problems, exercise judgment and make sound objective decisions

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Demonstrated proficiency in human resources operations, policies, processes, and procedures.

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or Organizational Development. PHR or SPHR is strongly preferred.

Excellent communication skills, develop strong relationships, business acumen, and working knowledge of human resources.

Occasional travel will be required.
