We are seeking to add on to our collaborative team environment within our Santa Cruz laboratory, and currently have an opening for a Laboratory Technician 1.

DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Perform work functions and keep records per approved SOPs and/or laboratory policies.</li>
<li>Maintain records of all quality activities as documented in SOPs and test methods.</li>
<li>Handle samples and perform analysis according to SOPs and test methods.</li>
<li>Write and review SOPs and test methods as requested.</li>
<li>Help improve laboratory and/or quality activities on a continuous basis.</li>
<li>Ensure that proper sample submission form protocols are followed.</li>
<li>Perform any tasks as requested by management to ensure the proper function of the lab.</li>
<li>Is involved with the laboratory Intake procedures, which include routine use of analytical balances.</li>
<li>Create LIMS Batch Orders.</li>
<li>Complete equipment performance verifications as authorized.</li>
<li>Receive supplies and process the corresponding documentation upon authorization.</li>
<li>Identify and record actual or potential nonconformities or corrective actions, as well as preventative action requests, respectively.</li>
<li>Support the laboratory through functions such as cleaning, organizing, filing of laboratory records, retrieving test items from retention.</li>
<li>Maintain equipment as authorized.</li>
<li>Complete performance verifications of the equipment he/she is authorized to utilize.</li>
<li>Report deficiencies or malfunction to the supervisor.</li>
<li>Monitor levels of laboratory supplies and submit reorder requests to the attention of management.</li>
<li>Prepare solutions upon authorization.</li>
<li>Correct actual nonconformities and potential nonconformities within the limit of his/her competency.</li>

REQUIREMENTS

Broad Scope and Function
This position is responsible for providing dedicated day-to-day support for the Cannabis Use Survey project, including developing project surveys and methodologies, conducting outreach and recruitment, monitoring project goals, providing lead work to data collectors, and preparing final deliverables.

 
Reporting Relationship
The position reports directly to and receives general supervision from the Director of the Public Health Survey Research Program. The position provides work direction to project Data Collectors.

 
Conditions of Employment
This position is a full-time, non-exempt (eligible for overtime pay), benefited position, with a defined contribution retirement plan through TIAA. (The position is not covered under the California Public Employees’ Retirement System). Continued employment in this position is dependent upon funding and the mutual consent of University Enterprises and the employee, and either University Enterprises or the employee, can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause. Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in the social sciences, statistics, or another field requiring statistical analysis and social science research or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.

Project Description
The Cannabis Use Survey project is funded by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) and implemented by Sacramento State’s Public Health Survey Research Program (PHSRP). This research will assist Cal-EPA, Dept of Pesticide Regulation in protecting the health of cannabis users from pesticide residues in cannabis products, by determining the amounts of cannabis products used by consumers. The project aims to develop and administer a measure of cannabis use to obtain daily amount of cannabis intake by Californians in order to facilitate development of pesticide regulations in cannabis farming. The project will include development/design, pilot study, redesign, large cohort study, and reporting phases.

In this important role, you will support and contribute to the LCB Mission by performing professional financial review and analysis of accounting, auditing and fiscal data in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, governmental auditing standards, statutes or regulations. This position works under general supervision of the Spirit Fees Accounting Supervisor and is required to analyze and interpret reports produced by the internal intranet fee system. Also, this position is responsible for monitoring and analyzing fee reports monthly, coordinating, reconciling and closing the cash month process in the Spirit Fee System. Additionally, monitors licensee balances and recommends accounts for suspension, collection or enforcement actions.

Duties

This position supports and contributes to the LCB Mission by performing professional entry level financial review and analysis of accounting, auditing and fiscal data in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles [GAAP], governmental auditing standards, statutes or regulations. This position will report to the Beer and Wine Tax Unit Supervisor and is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and processing Licensee activity reports. 
Additionally, this position responds to incoming telephone calls and e-mails for reporting and general questions. As a Fiscal Analyst 1, you are the first responder to the main contact telephone number for the Beer and Wine Tax and Spirit Fees Units and will be responsible for providing clear and effective communication with external customers regarding reporting compliance and tax/fee collection. Duties

<li>Respond and interpret WAC and RCW related to Tax and Fees, privilege activity, and reporting compliance for internal and external customers.

<li>First level responder to the main contact telephone number for Tax and Fee Unit's.
</li>
<li>Provide customer service in person in a secure cash room for collection of taxes.

<li>Batch reports/correspondence in preparation of scanning and indexing to the image archiving system utilizing the document management system.

Qualifications

Required:

<li>Bachelor's degree, which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting: OR

<li>Any combination of education and relevant experience totaling four years. Education must include the required credit hours in accounting.</li>

<li>Explain accounting standards and WSLCB policies to customers outside of the Financial Division.

The Fleet Coordinator will also develop reports and analyze fleet data from various sources to provide insight that improves fleet utilization and life cycle costs. We are searching for a positive, energetic, detail oriented team leader to fill the position of Production Supervisor. This person will be responsible for managing a team of 2-3 people and for the execution of large scale edible production runs in a commercial kitchen/laboratory setting.
