JOB PURPOSE
The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for coordinating with the Production and Warehouse teams in four states to forecast and procure supplies as needed, and to manage the purchasing and procurement teams in Oregon. They will also work closely with our Inventory Manager and Inventory Drivers to ensure on-time deliveries to our various branches. This individual must be able to multi-task, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to change priorities and tasks as needed. We have a very fast- paced environment as we continue to grow and expand. Must be motivated, trustworthy, and a team player. Above all, they must be a positive and effective leader who is able to motivate and build a team, and who can interact with managers from various locations in a professional manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Manage the purchasing and procurement teams.</li>
<li>Interacting closely with warehouse managers in multiple states to help keep track of physical inventory.</li>
<li>Checking Inventory spreadsheets daily to keep an eye on inventory.</li>
<li>Evaluate and forecast proper timelines for reordering product.</li>
<li>Keep track of new production projects and determining what products and what quantities will need to be ordered.</li>
<li>Create new product SKU's and naming conventions.</li>
<li>Request quotes and create PO's for vendors.</li>
<li>Send all invoices to AP and keep track of scheduled product ETA's.</li>
<li>Check in with Production teams weekly to see what supplies may be needed.</li>
<li>Communicate with other states in need of product and decipher actual needs.</li>
<li>Help other states with proper inventory tracking.</li>
<li>Strategically source materials and negotiate supplier contracts, as appropriate.</li>
<li>Keep track of vendor OOR's and request them when needed.</li>
<li>Manage suppliers and the inbound supply chain performance.</li>
<li>Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering to maintain inventory at planned levels. Interface with accounting and receiving to resolve problems.</li>

Chalice Farms, a dynamic leader in the cannabis industry, has immediate openings for full-time Product Specialists at multiple retail locations in Portland, OR and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for an adaptable, reliable, and hardworking person to play a vital role in our company. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle and prioritize multiple projects in an extremely fast-paced team environment.

<li>Dundee (1178 N Hwy 99W, Dundee, OR)</li>
<li>Left Coast Connection (10055 NE Glisan St, Portland, OR)</li>

Duties to include, but are not limited to: 
<ul>
<li>Maintain a hefty knowledge of strains, products, consumption methods and cannabis culture.</li>
<li>Maintain a tidy, safe, and inspiring store experience.</li>
<li>Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant.</li>
<li>With state regulations and established policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Answering the phone and greeting walk-in customers.</li>
<li>Accurately use and maintain the Point Of Sale (POS) system and all cash handling.</li>
<li>Accurate and timely data entry of customer information.</li>
<li>Verifying proper paperwork, documentation, and ID for customers.</li>
<li>Ensure consistent Store organization and cleanliness.</li>
<li>Provide outstanding customer service, it is essential that you represent the industry and</li>
<li>Chalice Farms with a compassionate, yet professional demeanor.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned by the Management Team.</li>
</ul>
Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>21 years of age or older.</li>
<li>Reliable transportation.</li>
<li>Must be willing to work evenings and weekends, as needed.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis.</li>
<li>Must have taken test and applied for OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit to be considered for employment. (Reimbursed after completing 90 days of employment)</li>
</ul>
Preferred: 
<ul>
<li>Previous experience in the cannabis industry.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of OLCC cannabis laws and regulations.</li>
<li>Friendly with exceptional customer service skills.</li>
<li>Knowledge of marijuana strains and products is preferred.</li>
<li>Good organizational skills.</li>
<li>Cash handling and POS experience.</li>
