Wilco’s Hazelnut Growers of Oregon has been a reliable processor and marketer of hazelnuts for over 30 years. The cooperative serves over 150 hazelnut growers and processes and sells those nuts domestically in the US and overseas to multiple export markets. Hazelnut Growers of Oregon focuses on serving growers by returning profits to members and protecting the hazelnut supply chain through the highest food safety standards.
Job Summary
This is a full time, fully benefited position.
Performs routine cleaning and sanitation tasks around the plant.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly cleaning requirements of facility and equipment.
- Clean and sanitize equipment as well as cleaning of interior and exterior of the building.
- Proper refuse handling.
- Maintains records and daily logs.
- Read chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for proper chemical handling
- Follow all documented procedures.
- Other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned.
Successful Candidates Will Have
- The ability to read, write, and understand English.
- The ability to work in a team environment in a positive manner of respect, cooperation & flexibility.
- A good work ethic and ability to work independently.
- The ability to drive a forklift.
- A willingness to be trained on the following:
- GMPs.
- Inspection requirements.
- Documentation requirements
- Chemical safety and control,
- ATP monitoring,
- Micro-organism awareness training,
- Blood Bourne pathogen training,
- Cross-contamination training,
- Production equipment awareness training,
- Sanitation equipment usage training,
- Specific task expectation training.
- Prior food processing experience (preferred, not required).
- Able to lift 25 pounds repeatedly.
- Prolonged standing and repetitive bending.

Compensation:
$ 13.50 - $15.00/per hour
