Job Posting – Wholesale Sales Manager
The Wholesale Sales Manager is responsible for leading, directing and guiding the sales, service, and distribution of the Sky Wellness line. The person will design the go-to-market strategy, both locally and nationally. The Wholesale Sales Manager will be responsible for all wholesale customer relationships, e-commerce and in-person sales, and delivery of the line across all channels.
Responsibilities include:
- Introducing a new product line to the market, including developing leads and participating in the creation of marketing and sales strategies to various channels
- Demonstrating professionalism in the representation of the company at all events and functions
- Developing and implementing strategic sales plans in support of short, medium and long-range company planning
- Understanding market conditions to successfully penetrate the wholesale and retail CBD market quickly
- Creating forecasts to establish sales goals and growth potential
- Working autonomously and developing sustainable processes that can be easily replicated
- Managing the sales process from leads to close, in a developing industry
- Ability to quickly understand new products and identify drivers and metrics to increase sales
- Communicating with all levels of the organization, including frontline employees and senior leadership
- Willingness to work in ambiguous work environment, leveraging resources to address problems quickly
- Managing operating costs to ensure profitability while striving to achieve established sales goals
- Conducting market analysis of potential key accounts
- Reviewing market analytics to determine customer needs, pricing plans, and other key factors in determining how to grow revenue
- Building relationships between sales and other non-sales units within the company
- Preparing periodic sales reports, showing sales volume, potential sales, and proposed national account expansion
- Analyzing and controlling cost expenditures within division, based on established budgetary requirements.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- 5+ years leading sales in a B2B environment, including developing local, national, and digital sales strategies
- Previous experience bringing new product lines to market, preferably in the health and wellness space
- Experience leading a digital sales strategy for wholesale consumer products
- Bachelor’s degree in sales management and/or marketing
- Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work, learn and appreciate the complexities of the cannabis industry
- Experience providing detailed sales forecasting and profitability reports to senior leaders
