Web Content Writer/Copywriter

JOB PURPOSE

The Web Content Writer/Copyrighter will be working on new website pages, blogs, ad copy, social media and editing product specs to be clear for the general public. This individual must be able to multi-task, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to change priorities and tasks as needed. We have a very fast- paced environment as we continue to grow and expand. Must be motivated, trustworthy, and a team player.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing highly effective, original and targeted marketing copy for the promotion and sale of goods and services.
• Working in tandem with departments of the organization to write & edit creative materials for promotions, direct marketing (email, newsletter), advertisements as well as website content, blogs, etc.
• Develop & maintain a library of materials for use across a variety of campaigns
• Delivering within short time frames and meeting tight deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 2-3 years of writing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communication, Creative Writing or related degree
• A thorough understanding of the target audience and maintaining the right tone of voice while writing copy.
• Excellent command over the English language. Expert writing skills, editing and proof reading abilities.
• Ability to write concise, attention grabbing and hard-hitting copy that puts the message across.
• Exposure to writing print promotional materials, online web content, press releases, copy to assist advertising and marketing efforts, etc.
• Very strong client/customer service approach
• Familiarity with commonly used style guides
• A passion for cannabis
• An investigative nature and a commitment to creative solutions
• Must take the OLCC test and have Marijuana Workers Permit prior to start date

COMPENSATION

• Depending on Experience.
