Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily operation of the warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory functions, posting transactions to ERP system
  • Managing inventory and warehouse operation and responsible for the California Cannabis Track and Trace System
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and conditions of shipments
  • Directly supervises employees in Warehouse, including a team of Material Control Specialists and Shipping/Receiving Clerks
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
  • Facilitate a smooth transition of parts between work groups
  • Responsible for coordinating the activities of employees engaged in material handling, storage and transportation.

Warehouse

  • General Warehouse Management. Organizing and improving warehouse efficiency
  • Plans layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.

Shipping

  • Supervises order fulfillment area. Oversees orders to be filled and shipped correctly;
  • Will call for rate quotes and selects carriers and prepares required customs documentation.
  • Full cycle order fulfillment responsibilities in a fast paced work environment.
  • Fulfilling product orders for our customers
  • Order Fulfillment, packing orders, generating shipping labels, working with trucking companies and ensuring the quality of the shipment/order.
  • Compares shipping records of incoming and outgoing shipments against bill of lading, invoices, orders or other required information.
  • Ensure shipping area is organized and clean at all times and meets all compliance factors

Receiving

  • Tracking POs in our accounting system and maintaining proper inventory levels to fulfill orders quickly.
  • Tracking and following up with vendor shipments, checking our POs against vendor packing slips, checking inventory for shorts and damages and stocking and following up with vendors.
  • Inspect incoming materials and notifying appropriate staff of potential quality issues.
  • Verifies the materials received are as ordered in both type and quantity.

Inventory

  • General warehouse management, organizing and improving warehouse efficiency
  • Manages inventory records to ensure accuracy; responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels to fulfill orders quickly
  • Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies. Maintains record of receipts of materials and expense items.
  • Ensure cycle count and inventories are maintained. Schedule work for special and periodic inventories (cycle count and bi-weekly physical inventories)
  • Direct the movement of shipments to appropriate work areas
  • Route incoming items to appropriate departments, storeroom, etc. (as needed)
  • Read work orders or follows instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.

Track and Trace System

  • Implements appropriate process and procedures to maintain accuracy of California Cannabis Track and Trace system.

ERP System

  • Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Requirements Planning) theory and inventory management concepts including cycle counting and bin control required.
  • Prior experience with MRP or ERP systems

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of direct Warehouse management experience
  • Associates Degree with 10 years of experience as Warehouse Supervisor
  • Calm demeanor and level head for trouble shooting and handling a variety of issues as they arise
  • Ability to develop and carry out policies and procedures
  • Effective and professional demeanor when engaging customers
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to delegate
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects
  • Capability to lift and move an excess of 50lbs unassisted
