Job Description:

CannaCraft is one of the largest Cannabis companies in California, representing AbsoluteExtracts, Care By Design and Satori Chocolates. We are looking for a VP of Production to join our team! The role will be responsible for The VP of Production is responsible for directing an economically efficient department, collaborating across the organization to produce quality products as efficiently as possible. The VP will create a positive, rewarding environment for the Production Team, and will develop functional leaders in order to achieve broader corporate goals.

Major Areas of Responsibility:
Provide leadership and management to CannaCraft’s production departments and tracks the development of the company's products.

Create an environment that supports clear lines of communication and provides empowerment to all personnel to do their jobs in the easiest and most efficient ways possible, offer continuous support and timely, constructive feedback.

Develops a strong production leadership team that works together to toward continuous improvement in process and efficiency. Creates new opportunities for growth within the department. Encourages department managers to identify and seek out new processes, machinery and equipment that creates increased efficiencies.

Manufacturing: Responsible for all manufacturing, coordinating activities with other functions of the organization, obtaining optimum production and utilization of labor resources, equipment and facilities.

Quality: Leads effort to implement quality systems that are compliant and meet business objectives.

Manages all department leads, including extraction, post production, formulations, packaging, inventory, procurement and infusion lab.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Broad knowledge and experience in the ‘10,000 foot view’ of a manufacturing operation.

Demonstrated ability to build and lead successful production operations.

General knowledge of the cannabis industry, including regulations, financial burdens, market forces and price trends preferred.

Ability to lead by example, and to provide strong leadership to the manufacturing, quality and procurement functions to achieve significant improvements in operational excellence.

Education and Experience:
MBA preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience

10 years experience working in product development and manufacturing.

5+ years experience in operations leadership in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand;walk;use hands to handle, feel and reach.

Work Environment:
The role operates mainly in an office environment, routinely using standard office equipment. The role is frequently required to spend time in a manufacturing environment, subject to loud noises, cold temperatures, and working with (or in close proximity to) heavy equipment.
