Area: Los Angeles, California

Description: Our client is one of the country’s leading cannabis accessory companies, with a strong ecommerce platform and deep international brand awareness. They are seeking a VP of Technology to lead all aspects of technology, infrastructure planning, architecture, implementation, and support across all facets of the business. This is a tech-focused, entrepreneurial organization with a steep career trajectory for the right candidate. They are seeking a strong problem-solver who will not only manage the existing needs of the firm, but manage growth efficiently and proactively.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as the organization-wide technology leader – including within operations, sales, ecommerce, supply chain, marketing, finance, and human resources

- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migration activities

- Participate in the operational activities and perform independent and complex system troubleshooting when necessary

- Identify and create efficient fixes for any security risks, patches/vulnerabilities, etc

- Maintain information security of all data and implement disaster recovery and backup procedures

- Refine change control process (e.g. infrastructure, OS.) when needed

- Manage all external vendor and stakeholder relationships as they relate to technology

- Ensure robust cross-functional coordination and collaboration throughout the company

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree, required, advanced degree prefered

- 7+ years of software/engineering experience, required

- Previous mergers and acquisitions experience, required

- Familiarity and experience with various tools and platforms (e.g .Net, LAMP, WISC, Magento, CRM, ERP, Fishbowl, MS NAV.i, etc.)

- Ecommerce experience

- Ability to build, manage, and lead high-performance teams

- Experience managing third party contractors

- Comfortable serving as a player-coach who will roll up sleeves to do the “dirty work” as needed alongside their team
