Job Description:

Description : Our client is a leading packaging and accessory importer, designer, and distributor in the cannabis, pharmaceutical, and medical marijuana space. They pride themselves on high quality and high volume production and have experienced rapid growth. They are searching for a talented VP of Operations to oversee their 140,000 square foot warehouse. This candidate will have full responsibility for distribution, purchasing, logistics, and other areas. This candidate will report to the COO and will have 3 direct reports and 70 indirect reports. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure distribution and warehousing are executed successfully
- Design and execute cost-saving plans to improve and enhance purchasing and operations
- Work closely with IT to streamline inventory and integrate other key operations metrics
- Collaborate with the COO and other senior leaders to execute supply chain strategies to drive the business
- Control operational aspects in all areas of responsibility to include quality and performance while appropriately anticipating and managing risks
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for quality and compliance that involves multi-site management and third-party outsourcing arrangements
- Work directly with cross-functional internal teams as well as external stakeholders to maintain timely, cost-effective, and quality project completion
- Collaborate with senior-level executives to manage supplier relationships, product quality, and manage a variety of supply chain initiatives
- Help manage a thriving print shop business affiliated with the organization
- Safeguards plant operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complies with legal regulations
- Collaborates with COO and CFO to accomplish detailed and accurate operational forecasting and achieving and exceeding budget performance on operations

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, required; MBA a plus
- 10-15 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Manufacturing, required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manager or director level role, required
- Previous experience with NAV software, required
- Excited to "be on the ground floor" of a growing company in a growing industry
- Previous Experience with warehousing and distribution operations, inventory management, global procurement and sourcing, and international logistics, preferred
- Strong background dealing with analytics and problem-solving in a fast-paced operations environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent leadership abilities
