Summary This role report to the Chief Marketing Officer and work closely with the VP of Retail to develop, prioritize and lead the execution of marketing strategies to support the MedMen brand in and around the MedMen’s retail locations across The U.S. The VP of Marketing, Retail will ensure alignment of retail locations with marketing initiatives creating a consistent brand experience in every location.

  • Develops a brand equity strategy and program to elevate the brand to a new level and engages consumer's heart and mind.
  • Work closely with the marketing team for marketing initiative, plans and content
  • Ensure brand alignment across retail channels
  • Communicate and share a clear marketing plan and strategies that support all business verticals and revenue targets with the MedMen team members and all executive and senior management team, ensuring key stakeholders have the right information at the right time
  • Create efficient systems to communicate key product and brand messages at the right time, with the right frequency, to the North America market
  • Champion new ideas and initiatives that are consistent with the brand identity of innovation and design.
  • Develop and implement storytelling initiatives that increase traffic, conversion rate, average transaction value and sales across the multiple channels of business.
  • Work closely with the product management team to provide marketing assets & materials to meet their commercial objectives
  • Deliver marketing programs and initiatives which drive traffic to our retail location, increase overall engagement and brand affinity
  • Understand the nuanced elements of the MedMen brand, product and service offerings to ensure they are effectively and accurately reflected in all marketing campaigns, initiatives and programs
  • Manage and lead retail marketing team
  • Consistently conduct analysis of the competitive market and consumer trends
  • Accountable in managing the retail marketing budget and liable for all marketing investments

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Merchandising or related field
  • 15+ years of marketing experience
  • 10+ years of practical experience in Marketing Management from a commercial, retail and e-commerce environment
  • Demonstrates logical analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management, time management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
  • Ability to work and influence a variety of groups, internal and external
  • Working knowledge of various marketing techniques and processes

Additional Eligibility Qualifications Experience in a “market disruptive” industry or organization is a plus
