POSITION SUMMARY: The VP of Manufacturing is responsible for manufacturing operations across all company labs. This includes formulations, packaging, and compliance operations as well as New Product Development. They will be responsible for developing and continuously improving production processes and working closely with individual labs to ensure quality control and brand integrity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build out the strategic plan with the Vice President of Extraction to create a world class laboratory model in the cannabis industry
- Participate in the roll-out (pre-operations) and launch of new labs in all expansion states
- Oversee the scaling up of post-extraction operations to accommodate large patient demand
- Adopt and promote a high energy culture that stresses close communication and teamwork amongst all labs and departments
- Oversee formulations of high quality medical cannabis products
- Oversee all R&D to lead to the development of new products
- Qualify prospect delivery devices, new product formulations, new product ideas through thorough investigation and reporting
- Assess current lab QMS and work with SVP Operations, QMS to update current SOPs, Work Instructions, Manufacturing Work Orders and Master Batch Records ensure consistency, efficiency, scalability and quality of manufacturing processes and products
- Ensure operations comply with all regulations, policies, and procedures relating to safety, security and health.
- Serves as a role-model and resource for staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news, and changes in regulations.
- Respond to all questions, concerns, or suggestions and takes action when necessary to resolve conflicts.
- Coordinate with the upper management team to ensure accurate information and documentation is provided.
- Ensure compliance with all commonwealth laws and regulations regarding packaging and processing.
- Coordinate inventory tracking procedures with the inventory manager.
- Responsible for the preparation and execution of our clients medically-infused product line through the measuring, mixing, and processing of product in accordance with the commonwealth and standards set by our client.
- Ensures consistency and efficacy of product through quality control testing and procedures outlined by our client.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing and working in manufacturing in a regulated facility that produces nutraceutical/pharmaceutical products or consumer packaged goods
- Knowledge of sanitation requirements for the production of nutraceutical/pharmaceutical products or consumer packaged goods
- Minimum of four-year degree in Biochemistry or related field; and experience working for a position regulated by the FDA preferred.
- Thorough understanding of state and local medical cannabis laws and how they apply to the operations of our client.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Effective time-management and ability to multi-task.
- Experience with Project Management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
- Proficiency in windows-based software and point of sale applications a plus.
