Summary
The Vice President of Development is responsible for oversight of all logistics prior, during and post construction of all The Green Solution construction projects. The Vice President of Development manages the design, estimation, planning, and construction of inter-company projects. Additionally, the Vice President of Development guarantees the employment of the best construction practices. Finally, this manager assists with day-to-day operations while adhering to all state/company policies and procedures, including OSHA compliance, PPE, respiratory protection, forklifts, power industrial trucks, parking management, safe handling of materials and tool security.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Determine best construction practices and gather source material to uphold company polices and procedures
- Estimate, scope, and prepare cost and construction schedules for all inter-company projects
- Oversee coordination of the project team (leads and associates) to ensure appropriate scheduling and construction requirements are met
- Plan budgets and schedule facility modifications including cost estimates
- Inspect all construction and installation progress; prepare progress reports for senior leadership review on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Initiate planned project programs for a variety of facility types to include MIPS, Cultivation, and Retail locations
- Manage project priorities based on executive and senior leadership direction
- Adhere to approved vendor policy to ensure timely processing of invoice payments
- Comply with all local jurisdiction zoning and building requirements
- Manage construction site storage of all tools, supplies, and documents
- Scope timelines and perform project management of general contractors, vendors, and/or dependencies
- Coordinate with all general contractors, construction vendors, public utilities, local jurisdictions, permits, licensing, and executives and project team members to ensure transparency and appropriate resource allocation

- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Management
- 5 to 10 years of construction experience
- OSHA Certification
- Ability to task prioritize with shifting workload in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements; Previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities
- Cannabis industry experience preferred
- Must be able to individually lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in environments with high levels of noise and activity
- Must be able to acquire MED Key Badge ($300 fee to State of CO) prior to beginning employment
- Occasionally requires local travel, as needed
