Vice President Retail Sales

PalliaTech, Inc. is a rapidly expanding, multi-state medical cannabis company dedicated to the needs of its patients. We have an exciting opportunity for a results oriented experienced sales professional to join our company and be a key player in the growth and success of our national expansion.
Summary
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with subsidiary presidents, the VP Retail Sales is responsible for planning and implementing a strategic national sales program, involving existing and new markets. This position will also involve collaborating with the SVP of Marketing, VP Dispensary Operations, and local marketing specialists and dispensary managers throughout the country.
Responsibilities
Develop annual sales plan to meet or exceed revenue targets for Curaleaf & Swell retail dispensaries
Recommend sales strategies and promotion plan to improve sales trends
Direct implementation and execution of sales policies and practices
Develop metrics/KPI’s for each state’s retail performance and hold states accountable for results
Build, develop and manage dispensary teams capable of carrying out needed sales and patient/customer service initiatives.
Develop merchandising plan for dispensaries
Develop sales forecasts to meet financial objectives and meet performance targets
Review and analyze sales performance against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness
Take corrective action to adjust plans in order to achieve objectives within designated budgets
Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed patient/customer base expansion
Monitor competitive products, promotions and marketing activities
Work with the state outreach teams to develop programs to increase awareness
Coordinate territories, quotas, and goals
Establish and maintain relationships with local influencers and key strategic partners
Collaborate with the SVP of Marketing on advertising and promotion activities including print, digital media, email and text messaging
Work with the SVP of Marketing to develop plans to attract new patients/customers, retain existing ones, and increase loyalty
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or business administration
10+ years sales experience, especially in a regulated industry such as food & beverage, alcohol, or biotech industries (healthcare/medical industry experience a plus)
Must be able to travel 60%
Experience in retail sales and merchandising
Proven ability to create retail promotions and develop other strategies to increase sales
Strong account/customer service skills and excellent communication skills
Proven relationship-building skills internally and externally with diverse stakeholders
Successful sales leader who has experience motivating in-house and remote teams to achieve results.
Must be results driven, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed
