Reporting to the President of the East Coast Market, the Vice President - Massachusetts Market, will help us continue our rapid growth in one of the fastest growing industries in the nation. This role will develop and implement transformational strategy and operations to lift the state of Massachusetts up, and bring our manufacturing, wholesale and retail operations to the next level. We’re looking for a strong leader, change agent, and outstanding business thinker with a demonstrated record of understanding the controls, process, costs, margins, cash flow and profit structures required to lead and manage a fast-growing business in a dynamic high growth industry. It is essential that this executive has a strategic and sales mindset as well as knowledge of business operations & market and must be fully engaged in enhancing the development of the organization, building a strong team, and implementing strategic operations throughout the state.
The Vice President - Massachusetts Market, will work collaboratively with leadership to ensure initiatives and strategies are operationalized throughout the state and results meet and improve upon the organization’s performance through a disciplined inclusive process. The incumbent will have an established background that includes visionary leadership, exemplary business development, financial management skills and strategic agility. The Vice President - Massachusetts Market, will champion and facilitate world class practices throughout the state to ensure PharmaCann achieves and sustains market success as the cannabis market evolves. This leader will proactively communicate and implement strategies to facilitate market success.
The executive plays a hands-on role and is responsible for all manufacturing, retail sales and wholesale operations in Massachusetts and takes a lead role in driving product and process development, growing revenue and market share, and improving operating profit performance.
The associated duties include, but are not limited to: supporting the overall business strategy by providing leadership and direction to the state operations; building strong, leadership-oriented sales and operations; helping to drive the continuous improvement of processes and the implementation of new technologies; developing organizational strength and robustness; and ensuring operations are in compliance with company policies and all regulations & laws.
The incumbent will be responsible for the integration of system-wide business development strategies, policies, programs and performance improvement initiatives that advance quality, innovation, service and outcomes to ensure high reliability, organizational success and compliance with legal, regulatory and reporting requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Drives sales and overall dispensary operations of the state including but not limited to fiscal management, growth opportunities, staff coaching & mentoring, and all other functions to make the state and the company successful.
Develops short - and long- range plan for the state.
Responsible for the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes, and driving the state to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, quality, business goals and objectives.
Provides leadership and strategic direction for the state and oversees all aspects of its sales operations. Drives operational goals while ensuring that PharmaCann’s quality and service standards are met.
Recruits, manages and leads managers and staff with the skills to maintain a high-quality organization. Trains and develops staff to enhance skills, accountability, adaptability and capability to work individually and in teams. Ability to develop, coach and manage high performance leaders
Oversees and directs company operations within the state to ensure production planning, quality, service, innovative growth and cost-effective management of resources.
Collaborates with other members of the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
Champions and reinforces exceptional ethical standards through personal actions creating a culture of professionalism, honesty and integrity. Provides the leadership and management for the state, aligned with the mission and core values of the company; Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the state.
Represents the company with clients, investors, government bodies, and business partners.
Build strong relationships with other industry alliances.
Responsible for the outgoing quality, safety and efficacy of all finished product, compliance with all applicable specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, state regulations, and cGMP’s.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience, with 5+ in an executive position such as General Manager, Vice President with direct P&L oversight in a retail and wholesale environment with business development experience, preferably with at least five years’ experience leading a large multi-site or multi-State group.
Minimum of 8 years managing staff required.
Proficiency with ERP, CRM, and Gmail software applications.
Frequent travel within the Commonwealth required. Occasional travel to other states as needed.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Must be a problem solver, decisive and results oriented leader with a high sense of urgency.
Must gain extensive knowledge of all regulatory requirements to ensure state compliance
Able to deliver consistent results and stretch objectives both personally and through a team.
