Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Airfield Organizational Development Manager is learning and training management, career and organizational development functions. The Organizational Development Manager designs, implements and monitors organizational development programs to ensure appropriate responses to Airfield’s changing needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for all design aspects of training-related services for a large, functional dispensary encompassing multiple departments.
  • Serves as the strategic educational link between departments and the organization's education, training, design and development partners.
  • Consults with senior leadership and managers to identify training and development opportunities necessary to meet organizational goals.
  • Ensures that quality learning experiences are available and accessible to the organization.
  • Develop effective processes for learning design including needs assessment, project planning/management, course development vendor selection and implementation.
  • Develop and support design teams. Include operational and other stakeholders at key points to ensure alignment and buy in.
  • Ensure staff has skills and training necessary to create high quality experiences.
  • Develops long-range educational plans to support the organization's future directions.
  • Develops approaches to training and development that support the implementation of the organization's strategy the reduce redundancy and increase effectiveness.
  • Ensures the relevant and currency of educational programs, offerings, and learning opportunities.
  • Evaluates and reviews educational proposals to determine appropriateness and cost effectiveness.
  • Evaluates training/consulting requests for compatibility with current programs.
  • May serve as liaison between the organization and educational and community based institutions to improve collaboration and coordination for effective use of training resources available for department.
  • Facilitates implementation of appropriate change management initiatives associated with organizational transition activities.
  • Supports the goal of establishing the human capital of the organization as a critical component in accomplishing business goals.
  • Leading internal and external research and analysis to discover changing organizational needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Proven track record as a Corporate Trainer
  • Five years relevant experience in implementing organizational development intervention.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Phenomenal communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in MS office suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-learning software, Visio and Outlook
  • Healthcare, Workers Comp knowledge is a big asset

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the functions of this job, an employee must walk, stand, or remain stationary during entire the shift (shifts can be up to 8 hours). The employee is regularly exposed to strong cannabis odors and frequently required to handle cannabis products. Employee must be able to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe with the potential for slipping or tripping. Employee must frequently wash their hands and lift or move up to 35 pounds.
