The Tissue Culture Lab Director will lead the initiative in developing and managing a cell culture program for Dalwhinnie Farms. Dalwhinnie Farms is a state-of-the-art indoor cannabis cultivation facility located in Ridgway, CO at the base of the San Juan Mountains. Candidates must have experience in plant cellular biology with emphasis on establishing cell culture protocol with various cannabis cultivars. The candidate should exhibit excellent organizational skills and the ability to deductively reason their way through problems in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment. A firm grasp of plant culture methodology will be needed, which includes laboratory safety, media preparation, embryo rescue, plant and callus culture techniques, and plant or callus culture transfers. As the Lab Supervisor, candidates should be expected to support the Research and Development team in the development and implementation of new media preparations, culture production timelines, and any other cell culture techniques that are needed at Dalwhinnie Farms. The ideal candidate must desire the small mountain town lifestyle and working in a rural location.

Ability to travel
Minimum of 5 years of commercial tissue culture production or management experience
Computer proficiency skills including METRC, Excel, Word, Google Docs, Slack and Trello
The ideal candidate will have no felony convictions
