Shelf-Life Distributing is a leader in the cannabis industry, servicing the Southern California Area. We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager for the the Coachella Valley. The Territory Manager will need to be self-motivated and is responsible for managing the complete life cycle of a sales opportunity. This is an exciting opportunity to be a leader in a company that’s developing innovative products in a new and booming industry.
Sales experience is required. Must live in Coachella Valley.
Compensation: Base + Commission
Responsibilities:
- Growing the existing customer base, prospecting on local businesses and new customer projects, following up on incoming sales leads, researching new projects, and bidding on projects.
- Meet weekly and monthly sales objectives (cold calls, appointments, presentations and closing deals).
- Develop and manage a pipeline of prospects throughout assigned geography, set up in-person meetings with decision makers to discuss products/services and move the sales process forward.
- Establish strong relationships with customers through visits, texts, emails, and phone calls.
- Handle all customer-related questions, inquiries, and orders professionally and promptly.
- Promote products by ensuring each customer has the right merchandising displays and products are presented professionally.
- Work with Event Coordinator to facilitate promotional events with customers and clients.
- Educate budtenders on products, services, and industry.
- Provide team members and company ideas and insights to improve products, services, and sales
- Working closely with other territory sales manager’s and national account managers.
- Constantly push to get more space or product selection into each customer.
- Identify competitors and potential threats and report to leadership new accounts, obtain orders, develop solutions, and build strong customer relations.
Requirements:
- Driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance.
- Must be 21.
- Ability to travel throughout assigned territory.
- Excellent verbal communication & presentation skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and persuasive skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply product-related information in a professional manner.
- Proven ability to build and execute a strategy for assigned territory that generates and develops new business.
- High level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency.
- Willingness to work occasional weekends to support industry trade shows & events.
- Willingness to work after-hours for educational business meetings, trade shows, events & presentations.
- Relevant industry background gained from a competitor or company in a related industry.
- Must pass background check.
- Must be a self-starter with initiative, intuition and be familiar with consultative selling skills.
- Must be able to produce self-generated sales each month and be well organized.
- Strong business knowledge, professional presentation skills, and excellent problem solving abilities.
- Computer skills on most Microsoft Office and Google applications are required.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus.
