Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist – Field is responsible for supporting and implementing the recruitment and on-boarding processes for TGS Global and its affiliates. The Talent Acquisition Specialist – Field works with the Talent Acquisition Partner to communicate with department managers and assess departmental needs and meet those needs through established recruiting strategies, coordinating interviews in a timely manner, and determining each applicant’s qualifications for the applied position. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is also responsible for conducting new hire orientation and informing new employees of organizational structure and company culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of recruiting strategies
- Meet with department leaders to discuss staffing needs
- Manage high volume applicant flow through internal ATS for retail, cultivation, manufacturing, and other areas as assigned
- Source new applicants daily for each requisition by utilizing external job postings, ATS, and external/internal references
- Respond to new applicants and coordinate interviews in a timely manner through the ATS
- Identify useful external sourcing channels through ATS analytics
- Ensure accuracy in relation to requisition title/content, compensation, location, and expiration date
- Manage ATS communication and correspondence tools for new applicants, schedule interviews, and share candidate profiles with Hiring Managers; follow notification procedure of closed requisitions and rejections
- Sort applicants by qualifications, availability, and responses to pre-screening questions
- Determine applicant qualifications by assessing profiles, interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements
- Build pre-screening questions specific to each requisition to help identify candidates
- Compare candidate competencies and hard skills to the requirements of the position
- Arrange interviews as needed by coordinating schedules - use the MS Outlook calendar scheduling tool to coordinate preliminary and follow up interviews
- Send interview reminder emails to candidates and provide all necessary information to ensure that the applicant is well prepared and on time
- Maintain files and reports; archive as needed to meet compliance and retention requirements
- Conduct new hire orientation, inform employees on organizational structure and company culture
- Communicate NHO reminder email correspondence through MS Outlook to new hires, ensuring they have all of the necessary documentation and arrive prepared
- All other tasks and job duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- College Degree in Human resources or equivalent field preferred
Training
- Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Management
Required Skills & Experience
- Prior experience in recruiting/staffing in a retail and/or manufacturing environment
- Prior experience working with ATS
- Excellent computer, communication, and reasoning skills
- Familiarity with human resources employment practices preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- High-level attention to detail
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with human resources, common employment best practices, and/or labor laws preferred
- 2+ year experience in Human Resources
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with a shifting workload in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements; Previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities
- Cannabis industry experience preferred

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to individually lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods of time

- Must be able to work in an office environment with moderate to loud noise level
- Must be able to acquire MED Support badge ($75 Fee to State of CO) prior to beginning employment
