Summary
The Talent Acquisition Partner oversees the full cycle recruiting process for TGS Management and its affiliates including sourcing/candidate generation, cold calling, marketing, research, interviewing, assessing, presenting, negotiating, and closing. The Talent Acquisition Partner communicates with department managers to assess departmental needs and meeting those needs through established recruiting strategies, coordinating interviews in a timely manner, and determining each applicant’s qualifications for the applied position. The Talent Acquisition Partner is also responsible for coordinating with the HR Assistant regarding new hire orientation and other onboarding tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Represent TGS Management in a professional manner, particularly when working with candidates, vendors, and other internal/external guests.
- Adhere to company mission statement and core values, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism
- Oversee and uphold workflow of the recruiting process
- Establish strategies and creative solutions to meet recruiting needs
- Conduct “kick-off” meetings with business partners and department leaders to discuss recruiting needs, processes, expectations, and goals for each unique position
- Communicate with department heads about staffing requirements
- Determine and execute standard processes for new and existing requisition approvals, compensation, post-interview candidate disposition, and feedback/all correspondence through the applicant tracking system
- Serve as the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) administrator/point person with internal partners and system representatives. Manage all aspects of ATS including:
- Opening/closing requisitions, assessing candidates, screening applications, monitoring high volume applicant flow, moving candidates based on skills/experience, etc.
- Source new applicants for each requisition by utilizing external job postings, applicant tracking system, and external/internal references
- Respond to new applicants and coordinate interviews in a timely manner through the applicant tracking system
- Identify useful external sourcing channels through ATS analytics
- Ensure accuracy in relation to requisition title/content, compensation, location, and expiration date
- Manage ATS communication and correspondence tools for new applicants, schedule interviews, share candidate profiles with Hiring Managers; follow notification procedure of closed requisitions and rejections
- Provide reporting and analytics as requested by the VP of HR and other senior management
- Manage hiring process from applicant screening to offer letter acceptance
- Build pre-screening questions specific to each requisition to identify promising applicants
- Assess applicant level of professionalism and attention through correspondence during the interview process
- Sort applicants by qualifications, availability, and responses to pre-screening questions
- Determine applicant qualifications by assessing profiles, interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements
- Arrange interviews as requested for key positions
- Utilize applicant tracking system profile sharing function to provide Hiring Managers with all necessary information in preparation for in-person interviews
- Use MS Outlook calendar scheduling tool to coordinate preliminary and follow up interviews
- Send interview reminder emails to candidates and provide all necessary information to ensure that the applicant is well prepared and on time
- Be a source of any questions related to policies, expectations, and the company mission
- All other tasks and job duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
- College Degree in Human Resources or equivalent field preferred
Training
- Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Management
- Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy/procedures of TGS Management
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of recruiting experience in corporate office, manufacturing, and retail environments. Cannabis industry experience a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent computer, mathematical, language and reasoning skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements; previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities
- Familiarity with human resources, common employment best practices and/or labor laws preferred
- 2 or more years of experience in Human Resources
