Job Summary:

We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Buyer to join our team in Garden Grove, CA that will be willing to take on the responsibility of purchasing from assigned vendors. This individual would be responsible for pro-actively following up on purchase order, obtaining price quote, working closely with Director of Supply Chain to drive cost savings and operational efficiencies to support Sales and Corporate Initiatives.

Examples of Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Manage stocking and non-stocking vendor replenishment related activities to ensure proper stocking levels
• Review assigned vendors and maintain the correct balance of inventory, according to parameters established by Director of Supply Chain, to optimize inventory turns and minimize stock outs
• Review slow moving inventory and provide analysis to management for evaluation and action
• Pro-actively communicate any supply-related concerns to ensure there is no disruption in the supply chain
• Work closely with suppliers on quote opportunities to maximize cost savings and pricing negotiation to enhance the capturing of potential sales
• Resolve any discrepancies in quantities, delivery, cost, and quality. Report all issues within parameters set by the Director of Supply Chain
• Set up new part numbers in the system, on demand, as needed for new item creation requirements

Qualifications Guidelines

Education/training/experience:

• 3+ years' experience
• Previous experience as a purchasing agent or other related fields
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
• Preferred manufacturing and sourcing experience in Asia
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong analytical, organization and advanced Excel skills
• Works well in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Bachelor's Degree

Physical Standards:

• This position requires frequently sitting, standing, reaching, walking, and operating a computer workstation
• Must have finger dexterity, ability to use keyboard/ten key
• Able to participate in the environments standing, moving onsite at events and tradeshows
• This position may rarely require kneeling, bending, squatting
• Reach, stoop and lift office files, records or reports, typically weighing 20 pounds or less
