Job Description

As the Store Manager you will be the chief person responsible for one of Kaya’s retail locations. You’ll take responsibility for the store as if it was your own: assuring that it’s staffed and stocked appropriately, the it adheres to Company policies and operates in compliance with all state and local laws, and that it provides an excellent experience for its staff and customers and assure that the store is running smoothly at all times. The Store Manager is responsible for all operations of the store, store inventory, opening and closing, staff scheduling, and overseeing all staff members throughout the week and day.

Provide expert advice to customers in all areas of the store. Proactively build and maintain customer relationships. Motivate and lead staff and maintain a positive work environment.

Duties Include

• Build and foster a spirit of teamwork and fun
• Ensures accuracy and compliance in all transactions
• Performs the required duties to record all sales and inventory transactions in accordance with MED regulations
• Inputs inventory and maintains accuracy within the Point of Sale system
• Open and close dispensary including overseeing of accurate weights and cash
• Manage and supervise the activities of assigned staff and functions for the retail location
• Responsible for on-going training and compliance
• Staff scheduling
• Drive sales and customer experience by maintaining a tidy, safe, and well merchandised store environment
• Ensure sales floor is properly stocked and store presence inside/out is well maintained
• Responsible for maintaining customer relationships, including handling issues and concerns, complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Inspire customer confidence and create loyalty to our brand
• Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures
• Accurately reporting in Metrc and Biotrack
• Respond to certain emergency situations- this will include scheduling issues and potentially covering vacant shifts
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Three years in a progressively responsible retail experience, including at least one year in a management position
• Punctuality and excellent time management skills
• Proficiency with computers and using Microsoft Office, METRC, and POS systems
• Passion for the cannabis industry
• Excellence in team building and staff development
• Possess MED Key badge
• Valid CO Driver’s License
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must pass any and all required background checks

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

The Store Manager regularly works early mornings and/or late nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of our retail setting. Successful performance of this role requires that the incumbent is physically able to move freely between different parts of the store, lift up to 30 pounds, perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, walking, and kneeling; the store manager will also be spending several hours a day viewing a computer screen.
