Wash Park Boutique, dba Lucy Sky, is an upscale cannabis boutique located in Denver. We strive to be a leader in producing quality cannabis for both medical and recreational use, and we seek those who share the same vision to be one of tomorrow’s leaders. We are currently seeking applicants with strong-to-excellent knowledge of cannabis products, dispensary operations, and team management.

Job Summary:

Job Title: General Store Manager
Department: Retail / Medical Store
Reports to: Operations Manager or CEO

The General Store Manager ensures that all transactions and the implementation of other retail processes comply with state and local laws and regulations and that service exceeds customer expectations. He/she oversees day-to-day operations of the store and collaborates to develop and implement practices, policies, and strategies that support a performance and results-driven culture. He/she demonstrates effective retail management, supervises and inspect the performance of all personnel that work at the retail location, ensuring that all procedures are completed to WPB standards, and upholds the fun and friendly vibe that Lucy Sky is known for. The General Store Manager assists where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests. He/she makes strategic and operational decisions with regards to products, displays, staffing and philosophies.He/she is ultimately responsible for overall store appearance, cleanliness, safety, security, and overall customer experience. The aim is to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with company policies and procedures and MED regulations, while meeting/exceeding financial goals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensures accuracy and compliance in all transactions
  • Performs the required duties to record all sales and inventory transactions in accordance with MED regulations
  • Inputs inventory and maintains accuracy within the Point of Sale system
  • Prioritizes and organizes work assignments, delegates work
  • Directs performance of staff and follows up with corrections where needed
  • Motivates staff and maintain a cohesive team
  • Uses positive reinforcement
  • Has team building skills and the ability to build relationships
  • Has an engaging personality and a passion for hospitality
  • Is a leader who brings ingenuity and has experience managing a team in a positive and productive manner
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Working knowledge of business processes and system development
  • Maintains established standards of presentation, customer service, and compliance
  • Implements and oversees procedures related to opening and closing of the retail store
  • Participates in the recruiting, training, development and success of employees
  • Stays informed and knowledgeable about state and local laws, regulations and industry news
  • Facilitates and/or delegates ordering of cannabis infused products (concentrates, vaporizer, topicals and edibles), clothing and accessories
  • Performs inventory audits and reconciliations daily, weekly and as needed
  • Reports METRC adjustments to the appropriate parties
  • Additional duties as requested

Skills & Qualifications:

  • MED Key Badge
  • Valid CO Driver’s License
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Advanced RMS / MMC METRC training
  • Responsible Vendor certified, preferred
  • Able to use POS system, BioTrack and/or Greenbits preferred
  • Three years in progressively responsible retail experience, including at least one year in a management position
  • Ability to manage a team of staff members at a time during normal business hours in a fast paced, heavily regulated environment
  • Experience in inventory management and reconciliation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Responsive to emails and phone calls in a timely manner
  • Proficient computing skills
  • Innate desire to achieve success and a work ethic to match
  • High level of responsibility and integrity
  • Degree in business, management, or related areas, preferred
  • Experience working in a heavily regulated industry, preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

The General Store Manager regularly works early mornings and/or late nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of our retail setting;

Successful performance of this role requires that the incumbent is physically able to move freely between different parts of the store, lift up to 30 pounds, perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, walking, and kneeling;

Spend several hours a day viewing a computer screen.
