Job Description:

The Health Center is a mainstay in the Cannabis industry and is looking for a new staff accountant and general office support. Come and join a fast-paced growing industry with an established and successful company. Candidates need to have a strong accounting / bookkeeping background as well as a willingness to help out in all aspects of business. Additional office manager and HR related duties will be required as well. Some of the job requirements include but aren’t limited to:

Accounting

  • Maintaining A/P procedures, including: inputting invoices into Quickbooks, generating invoices, and record keeping for 5 companies. Reconcile aged AP reports.
  • Ensure that receivables are collected promptly. Reconcile aged AR listing.
  • Point of contact for vendors
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Credit Card Reconciliations
  • Quarterly Bank Reviews
  • Work with 3rd party tax and audit accounting firms
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
  • Preparing payroll timesheets for 105 employees, including both hourly and salary positions for five locations.
  • Form 8300 filings for large deposits
  • Manage regular bank deposits
  • Input and reconcile daily sales
  • Input payroll entries
  • Monthly reconciliations and financial reports
  • Other tasks as need by senior management

Human Resources

  • Prepare payroll timesheets for hourly and salary employees.
  • Submit bi-weekly payroll for processing
  • Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits
  • Setting up and maintaining health, vision, dental, and supplemental insurances
  • Maintaining worker’s comp claims & assisting employees * Working with third party HR providers to ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
  • Maintaining HIIPA compliance and OSHA reporting requirements * Set-up, Input and Update Company Employees
  • Work with third party HR providers as needed

Office Management

  • Serve as point of contact for: Maintenance, equipment, bills, errands for corporate office location.
  • Coordinate with IT as needed.
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
  • Other tasks as needed by senior management

Qualifications

  • Accounting or bookkeeping experience (minimum 2 year’s experience)
  • Working towards or having an accounting degree or background
  • CPA or willingness to obtain a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks online, and Google Drive a plus
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, as well as in teams.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of integral management and staff
  • Willingness to obtain public notary
  • Candidates must have or be able to obtain an MED badge.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
