CannaCraft is one of the largest Cannabis companies in California, representing AbsoluteExtracts, Care By Design and Satori Chocolates. We are looking for a Sr. Accountant to join our team! The role will be responsible for reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Sr. Accountant will combine excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
Supervise jr. level accountants
Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
Provide input into department’s goal setting process
Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
Assist with tax audits and tax returns
Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
Plan, assign and review staff’s work
Support month-end and year-end close process
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Broad knowledge and experience in Quickbooks
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and financial statements
Proven experience as a senior accountant or financial controller
Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Education and Experience:
BS degree in accounting
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an accountant in a fast paced environment
Experience in multi-entity organizations a plus
