Job Description:

Sponsorship Account Manager – Inside sales position

Infocast, an innovative B2B conference production company that has been successfully putting the right people together to get deals done for more than 30 years, is seeking to add to our talented and close knit team of professionals.

If you are an experienced B2B relationship-based sales person, energetic, upbeat, ambitious and intellectually-curious, you may be just who we are looking for. This is a full-time, office-based sales position; you must be comfortable working on the phone and via email, talking to existing clients and cold-calling prospects.

As a Sponsorship Account Manager, you will be an integral part of sponsorship development for our business events. You will work with the event team to develop a strategy to maximize the sponsorship revenue for each of your assigned meetings and will reach out to current and prospective clients to sell the benefits of sponsorship for each meeting. To be successful you will need to develop an understanding of the business reason for each group to invest their marketing dollars in sponsorship, and recommend mutually beneficial sponsorship packages.

The successful candidate will be a relationship builder who enjoys connecting people and companies with what they need to enhance their business. You must be goal oriented and work well on deadlines. Are you knowledgeable about business in general, yet still eager to learn more? Can you identify the wants, needs and priorities of a broad range of businesses and industry constituents and recognize the opportunities and challenges from the perspectives of the various involved parties?

If so, Infocast is interested in hearing from you!

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Sell and coordinate sponsorship packages for Infocast conferences
  • Prospect for new clients via phone and email
  • Understand and effectively communicate the benefits and details of our events
  • Aid in the creation and development of sponsorship materials and packages that satisfy the marketing objectives of key corporate sponsors
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing and formalize agreements
  • Maintain and update a database of all sponsorship sales activity and prospects within Salesforce
  • Attend Infocast events and prospect the audience for new sponsors (3-4 times each year)

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to network and build upon existing relationships to prospect for new business
  • Skilled in the sales and negotiation techniques needed to successfully present and close proposals
  • Ability to take the initiative and work independently to get the job done
  • Strong organization and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to maintain a positive and upbeat attitude
  • Willingness to travel domestically to a few events a year

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of sales/business development experience
  • This is a full time in-office position that offers a base salary plus commission and bonuses with no earnings cap.

If you are the selected candidate, you will quickly become an important part of a talented, fun-loving team at a high-energy company that offers tremendous long-term growth potential.

To Apply: Please submit your resume and cover letter to Peggy Franzino peggyf@infocastevents.com. Submissions without a cover letter will not be considered.
