We are looking for an experience event coordinator to oversee and organize all Papa & Barkley events that will make an impact to our target audience. You will be responsible for managing pre-planning, execution and follow-up associated with various internal and external marketing events. The successful candidate must be organized and efficient in handling a high volume of details, have the ability to assemble and coordinate resources and be able to manage multiple priorities. As part of the marketing team, you’ll ensure events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints. Our event coordinator is, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques. We want to see enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas and the organizational skills required to not leave anything about an event to chance.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership for Corporate Meeting & Events program. Including developing a yearly calendar
- Brainstorm creative event activations to build consumer engagement and awareness for a number of our brands
- Primary POC for event planning, management requirements, and program delivery. Includes direct responsibility or outsourced vendor oversight for design, site selection, vendor negotiation, event registration, production, marketing, onsite staffing and post-event reporting.
- Manage outsourced vendor relationships.
- Negotiate with hotel, transportation and air travel providers to leverage support and obtain maximum discounts and benefits for company meetings and events.
- Provide supplemental support for corporate events and Trade Show as required.
- Maintain key internal client relationships.
- Serve as the Point of Contact in the Field for Events and Activations
- Responsible for program execution within established budgets.
- Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations.
- Responsible for post-event reconciliation including receipts, vendor invoices, and other associated documentation.
- Responsible to develop and maintain program metrics and management reports.
Requirements
- BS/BA
- It would be beneficial if the candidate had experience developing a new program from scratch (define and craft the new internal program, implement program, and drive results.)
- 5-7 years managing corporate meetings and events and leading overall program management.
- Exceptional project management and communication skills
- Strong negotiation and contracting skills.
- Strong ability to work as part of a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate and work across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to influence and drive consensus.
- Customer service experience required
- Ability to travel (Role will involve travel statewide)
