Sous Chef
Job Description:
New MIP opening soon in Denver. We are looking for the right person to add to our team of cannabis professionals. Must be 21 and posses a MED KEY badge.
SOUS CHEF
Assist the head chef
- Helps with all baking and kitchen preparation
- Has knowledge of all recipes
- Has knowledge on how to use all machinery
- Ability to direct staff
- Maintain order and discipline in the kitchen
- Assist in all inventory
- Ability to help with ordering if necessary
Kitchen Operations
- Operate efficiently, effectively, and professionally
- Produce high quality product
- Comply and enforce any sanitation and safety requirements
- Record and keep up on production boards
- Prepare lab samples
- Help where needed baking, cleaning, assisting other chefs
Training
- Assist in training and cross-training
- Recognize strengths and talents properly
- Train on new recipes
- Fill in for head chef when necessary
Cleaning
- Assists in cleaning of
- Kitchen
- Hallway
- Packaging room
- Dishes
- Dish pit
Reports directly to head chef. As second in command the sous chef follows the head chef’s specifications and guidelines. Responsible for baking and assisting the head chef where needed. Must be able to follow instructions and react quickly even in high stress environments. Needs strong communication skills, attention to detail, and flexibility.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $14.00 to $17.00 /hour
