Job Description:

Under limited direction, represents and maintains the highest standard of excellence of interpersonal and organization skills in supporting the Company’s Medical Marijuana marketing department.

The responsibilities of the Social Media Specialist include but are not limited to; marketing the company story, products and campaigns in the virtual space, provides excellent digital marketing practices and applies them to build brand loyalty, collaborates with various departments to address consumer questions and comments as well as content strategies and content on social channels, encourages and inspires new ideas, platforms and tools to enhance our marketing efforts, maintains both patient and company confidentiality at all times, analyzes various reports and responds to business trends, maintains up to date knowledge of all company products, enthusiastic ability to work as part of a diverse team, ensures that all duties are performed in accordance with company, safety and sanitation standards as stated by the MME environmental health and safety programs regulatory agency as well guidelines set forth by state and local laws.

  • Develops and manages multiple social media accounts across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Leafly, Weedmaps, The Travel Joint and other relevant emerging platforms.
  • Coordinates, promotes and represents brands at various locations/events.
  • Creates and manages integrated, measurable campaigns and content across all channels to build brand loyalty and enhance product education.
  • Continuously tracks, measures and optimizes the effectiveness and ROI of online efforts against social media metrics. Adapts swiftly and accordingly to ensure overall engagement and community sentiment.
  • Updates and maintains company websites daily, including all content, promotions and graphics.

Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age or older. AA/AS degree or combination of education and experience will be considered. Candidate must possess a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in digital marketing with demonstrated successful consumer campaigns, social media presence and website development, design and maintenance, writing promotional copy, press stories and properly integrating video into blog, website and social media outlets, comprehensive understanding of social media platforms, relevant mobile apps, compiling comprehensive impression reports and social media analysis. Strong computer operating skills required; including MS Office, photo editing software, Google Analytics and digital advertising including SEO. Experience in photography, videography and editing programs such as Illustrator and/or Photoshop preferred. Ideal candidate possesses experience with After Effects, Premier and In Design. Ability to quickly familiarize with relevant state laws and patients’ rights. Candidate must have a dynamic personality and be a savvy networker/relationship builder with excellent written/verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail. Excellent cannabis knowledge is strongly desired along with the ability to conduct personal research. Must be able to accurately explain all medical marijuana strains, infused products and methods of administering to patients. Must successfully pass pre-employment background and drug testing checks as well as obtain state-issued Medical Marijuana Establishment Agent Card upon acceptance of an employment offer. Candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on the demands of the business, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be able to sit as well as stand for extended periods of time with frequent bending. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance and push or pull up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
