Job Description:

Plenty is seeking a Senior Grower who will coordinate and refine all aspects of propagation processes as well as assist in cross-departmental activities in a modern, high-technology hydroponic farm.
About Role
This grower will coordinate our efforts aimed at optimizing all aspects of hydroponic growth through routine propagation activities, including team management, plant handling, and analysis and collection of environmental and production data. An essential component of the position will be the ability to consistently deliver on several high priority projects simultaneously and assist all Farm Development-Operation teams in a wide range of different activities.
What You'll Do

This will be a hands-on role where you will be managing a propagation room and/or team, monitoring and controlling plant growth and nutrition, and managing and operating high-intensity plant production equipment

Senior Growers steer a variety of farm-wide and laboratory activities, including monitoring, data collection, experimental testing, cross-departmental projects, as well as basic laboratory tasks such as cleaning and maintenance of tools

Create and update and implement SOPs as we standardize and scale practices

Work closely with the R&D and Farm Development-Operations Teams to improve all aspects of plant growth

Providing strategic and operational guidance to the leadership team as well as technical input for cross-functional project teams

What We're Looking For

A motivated and driven problem-solving individual with extensive plant science, horticulture, integrated pest management, crop production, plant nutrition, agronomy or related background knowledge

Minimum 5+ years experience working in greenhouse or production environment with a focus in propagation. Direct hydroponic plant production experience preferred

Experience in team management

Familiarity with engineering terminology and procedure

Understanding of basic experimental design, scientific method and statistical design and analysis

Experience with common data collection, analysis and documentation tools

Ability to implement and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Superb technical problem-solving skills

Ability to lift and handle heavy objects

Humble, teachable, team-players who are hard-working, able to quickly adapt, and are willing to grow alongside our plants!
